I think matumba can delay it until he is 28 years old, so he still should be good to go. The traveling schedule should also not be a problem anymore, since there are way less tournaments this year.

I'm really happy for the team
Really great run and TOP4 is a great success for a returning champion in this cutthroat meta and how teams are close together

Kuroky now sits alone on the throne of the all time money list
And Imo is hands down the greatest dota player of all time

I wonder why they feel apart when they were up against LGD and EG. It seems like they try to hard on some out-of-meta strategy and didn't work.

The other teams were better, or at least figured the meta better. It seemed liquids draft was always worse than those 2. Nevertheless they got top 4 wich is no small feat considering the level this TI was. Top 4 this TI is probably as hard as winning one of the first 2 TIs

I'm hoping the boys find it in them to stick together for another season, having seen the team develop over the last year and a half has been awesome. They were with VP the most consistent team not only across this season but already from before TI7. Class is permanent as they say.

On the other hand the shuffling teams seem to have been doing well over the last few TIs, OG, EG and LGD this year, Gh as a mid season addition for liquid last yea, LFY and LGD shuffling pre TI7, DC EG and Fnatic out of the TI6 top 4 participating in the mid season shuffle and so forth. There is a worrying trend actually :D

Yet still, especially in the first game against EG, at times they played so well they almost made those somewhat inferior drafts work.

Ummm
I think the opposite is true actually in the LGD series
They went for the in-meta wisp gyro and PL+Shaker + Ench vs LGD

Kuro admitted LGD caught them off guard with their strategy and he didn't grasp what they were doing enough.

And vs EG I feel like Kuro got outplayed with the Suma1l last picks (Storm + Timber) the Viper/CK were reactionary picks that made a lot of sense.

What are you gonna do
A noname player always brings in hunger in the squad, no way around it.
They have great chemistry in and out of the game though that's something really hard to walk away from until bad results come

It is, I'd be really surprised if they made any roster changes to be honest.

Champions will return. This season already looks nice, just 3 weeks after TI everything starts again, and top teams will be forced to play Qualifiers. Very nice!
Now the last unknown is what will happen in the upcoming major patch. Question is will it happen before, during or after the qualifiers.

Liquid badly needs better drafting. They were mediocre/terrible at TI and they're not proving to be any better now.

Well, Liquid should be expected to be able to accomplish things that aren't easy.

I think its reasonable to give them more than 2 games to judge what they're lacking on. Those guys are good, they will adjust.

And while i do agree the losses at TI were mostly due to weaker drafts, i don't think they drafted poorly, it was more so that their strats were limited and not as good as their opponents, wich then led to having weaker drafts against both eg and lgd.
