They need to not overthink drafts as badly as they did today. It felt like they tried to be next level but ended up with garbage drafts both times.

huh?
they went the staple Wisp+gyro they played a ton in scrims and is very in meta

Problem with draft two was that TL had two strategies that counter acted each other. First the Wisp + Gyro is every good. But then they had Alch strat also. So both need farm. Then Alch got smashed like i never seen Miracle get smashed before. So the whole team trying to make the Alch comeback. That sacrifices the gyro and making Wisp + Gyro useless.
Was really a bad draft they just needed another last pick instead of Alchthat could provide early game pressure and make room of the gyro to get out of control.

Im not that impressed. They got awesome dewarding, but that series was more VP playing bad, than LGD playing good. Not to mention VP didn't do anything different, they are playing the same heroes / strats. And the way to beat a chinese team is to put them out of their comfort zone.
Kuro knows how to do it.

Lmao

Still not impressed?

if they meet again it's gonna be completely different
I think the best grand final is Liquid LGD that'll be a brutal tactical battle

Already feeling the adrenaline.
Note to Kuro:
Don't. Get. Cheesed. Please.

Damn the hype in the lower bracket is so much bigger, when our life is on the line.

Lets GO LIQUID!

here we go !
cool about GH
he is not longer the stand out player the strats are built around
but his demeanor and how the team gels might be even more important

Also Meepo Huskar Brood are not really cheeses anymore, just legit strats you need to prepare for
EDIT: also Puppey has had our number this series is probably 50:50

Not giving a huge advantage to the opponents in the draft is so important these days.
Awesome draft and play led to great win.
EG on the menu now.

If we make it to tomorrow im pretty sure the TI is ours. We will get our revenge on LGD, no matter if it is in the lower bracket final or in the grand final. No sleep for me tonight, already 11PM, the next match is at least 4 hours apart from now, but i will be staying to see it.

Lets GO LIQUID!

Good run, good position. Sometimes we just don't play good enough. Especially game two we played bad. Doesn't matter though - we had an awesome run those past months were amazing. Next matches start in 3 weeks,so lets take a couple of weeks to relax before the new season!
GG to EG.

Well it wasn't meant to be I guess. Overall a decent TI, 4th is ok. We had a pretty good year, you can't have it all every season. Hope they stay together, I love this team so much;)

Unlike last season, I never felt like this was Liquid's tournament to win. They're a great team but I always felt they lacked a hunger for the aegis this season and it was constantly costing them tournament after tournament. Of course, I'm glad they made this placement because it means they're probably happy enough about it to stick together, but it's sad that they couldn't do it back to back. LGD, EG, and OG had the hunger and that's what made them different from Liquid and that's why they're still in the tournament.

Luckily, OG is still in the tournament aka 1/5 former Liquid which is great. I hope Liquid can start to feel the hunger again next season.

No stuns no win. Liquid felt fatigue and stale in strategies at this stage. I agree there's somewhat a drop in hunger. If only liquid prioritised aoe CC.

I'm way more sad than I thought I'll be, the loss felt...unnecessary. But top 4 is a good placement, I hope noone will feel like a team needs change and that they will not lack hunger for success.

I am sad about the loss but I support the team all the way. If they could win that second game I think they would have made it through but the first game must have thrown them off. I think they did not anticipate that EG would constantly dodge fights and be hard to catch so that threw the whole strategy off.
I hope the team stays together although some have said that they are tired of all the travelling and such and I think I even heard Matu in an interview that he has not got long left. We will see. GL TL!

Guys, 2nd DPC team, 4th at TI8, won the biggest major in a season. Don't be disapointed!

Wasn't Matumba's problem that he still has do his mandatory service in the Finnish army and that he can't delay that forever? (I haven't followed that situation too much in the last couple of months though, so I dunno if there are any new developments there)
