at least DK last year didn't have as harsh treatment as secret .. even top 3 is not fucking good enough for team secret

Well, based on their individual skill and insight into how to utilize their heroes to win any given matchup, if Team Secret doesnt win TI5 I would be severely dissappointed. If they were on my team I would probably yell at them.

I think people were more forgiving towards DK because they are an eastern team. Personally, I felt very much let down by their inability to make it to the finals.

I can't think of a single sport based purely on human skill (so not formula 1), where I'd be severely disappointed if the favorite didn't win. Although they do have an amazing team right...

Puppey and s4 are masterminds, Kuroky so chill, very careful and analysis heavy play, Arteezy the mechanics machine... And zai... Well I don't know what to call him, but he's got those spider senses, very good at mind games and predicting moves to make those amazing initiations.

Still a lot can happen, I just wish TI was now, so Secret had a really big chance.

This may be surprising but arteezy isn't just a good mechanic player but also the lategame decision making of Secret. A huge part of it for sure.

Secret winning doesn't discredit this actually. The argument to be made is would old EG without the falling out have had a higher cap of success, which is something intangible. I still think they would have, as does many members of current EG/2014 EG.

All teams lose. How quickly people forget this very thread calling for blood when Secret was bombing out of tournaments (which were bo3). The only undeniable fact is EU should keep importing NA carries.

I think the new secret feels more versatile than EG 2014 (cause s4/rtz core vs fear/rtz core) but i think both rosters potential are rougly close and not that far off. If only EG didn't go full NA and went for internal issues mode.

Whatever the new EG is still pretty good (like ppd says probably not as good as the old eg but still good) with the addition of suma1l as long as he keeps improving and from refraining doing alot of stupid shit that he does currently.(like unnecessary feeding and being way too greed sometimes)

not true rtz said in an interview that if they fixed the problems rather than going full children mode he thinks EG was like as good as secret

also EE is another NA carry on EU (yes c9 believe it or not EE is actually good and c9 is like EU team now)

Most of the new blood seems to gravitate towards 1/2 and veterans play the less farm dependant positions. NA seems to have new blood tricking regularly into the scene, since most of the veterans have very little results (pretty much there's EG and that's it) so they are more open. EU is a lot more crowded.
