At this point i'm still unsure wether secret will lose a game at the international, they are just too far ahead on skill

In other words, I think MDL is not as much of an indicator of skill distribution among teams that people may believe it is. That's why the bigger tournaments are more interesting - because they have more space for unexpected things to happen. But sure Team Secret is a cool team, I didn't want to like them from the start, but now I've changed my mind.

I'm not sure that there is such a thing as a 'captain's slot', it was just sort of an unspoken norm amongst teams to use those slots for the captain. I personally think they haven't changed slots due to being used to the colours, which can make a difference on minimap in game. S4 is the drafter and in game leader since starladder. If you watch his stream you can see how he is actually really good at it

Anyway, I'm glad it's working so well for them.

Everyone should watch this interview. The way Kuroky carries himself and the things he has to say are on a different level of maturity and intelligence than 99% of the rest of the scene. Everyone should also watch the Arteezy interview above for the entertainment value.

I know it doesn't matter who pushes the ban/pick button but I find it weird not to let the designated captain do it, unless you're one of those "everyone drafts and makes calls" teams. All the games I consciously looked at the drafter, they had s4 as captain with the little crown. You sure you're not mistaken? Today I only remember checking during the finals in particular for the fourth game and another one earlier and s4 was captaining there for sure. And it's not like supports can't make choices on rotations and such, but so far it has worked out well for them to let s4 make the overall game plan decisions. I'd be very surprised if other teams weren't going to be able to step it up until then and prove themselves worthy opponents.

How long has Secret had this particular roster? One month ago they had never taken 1st at a LAN and were coming off of an ignominious two series elimination from Starladder. It is just slightly under two months until TI5. We should all know by now that two months is plenty of time for fortunes to change.
