Seems pretty likely. I think my order of preference is something like:

1) Na'Vi
2) Secret
3) VP
4) Empire
5) VG

I can't say it seems much more like than VG winning TI5 just a short time ago. This aura of inevitability is thrown around like a hot potato.

Please don't kid yourselves. They're not ig 2012 or alliance 2013 yet. They can be, but not yet.

As professional Dota advances the bar for what constitutes dominance at the top end has to lower.

Dominance is relative to the other people you play in your era. Not necessarily an absolute measurement. Take starcraft for example. Savior was far more dominant than jaedong or bisu, yet the latter are generally regarded as better overall players. We're not arguing whether secret is overall more skilled than for example, alliance 2013. Dominance is measuring how badly they destroy their opponents in their respective era.

that's pretty much what I was going for , but looking at alliance's 30-3 run in the spam of two very stacked tournaments there's still ground for secret to cover, we have to wait and see

Oh come on, they have won one lan with respectable opponents and you call them the most dominant team in the history of doter? Just admit that your fanboyism made you exaggerate their performance. How can you call a team that lost to TM and Alliance two months ago the most dominant team ever?

I dont give more than half a shit about secret, I mildly like two of their players and normally root for "ftd" players wherever they ended up (most retired), I was merely asking for opinions, calm down kid.

To me it's more interesting that they are only here to hate. First it's "don't win", later "don't win LANs" now "summit is only one tounrey doesn't really count" and so on. Wonder what it will be if they win Mars or even TI5.

The context for that was the discussion about whether Secret is "the most dominating team in dota history". It should be clear that we have to wait for more tournaments than Summit and Redbull to make such claims. Noone is taking anything away from Secret winning Summit, they won an event with close to all the top teams in the world after all.

I think if you read this thread a lot you will find that there really many people here to just hate, with or without this "context".
