Secret are liked for their personalities and their all-star roster, who cares if EG isn't as popular when it's obvious as hell they are way better and more accomplished? Any comparison of results will render any "Secret is the best" post useless, not that it needs to considering they're mostly coming from trolls. Na'Vi was also the most popular western team even when Alliance and EG were better, let's just pretend that this erases any respectable result in that period because, you know, people liked them. | ||

I guess the real problem in these kind of conversations is that usually people make such an effort to avoid points bringing into the table excuses or different topics. Can the ones backing Secret accept that even after the 15-0 they are not putting a performance to back that 15-0 and that the team before that 15-0 was a different team? If your reasons is your fanaticism, it will do you good to realize not everything is as good as you believe or want it to be. If your excuses are another team's performance then we can move over to that team's thread and discuss it there. | ||

I think it's still early to make a judgement on their real strength, given the fact that they only had 2 lans with the current roster (one good one, one bad one) but there are things that worry me. S4 choked in many of their big lan matches ever since their team was formed, same as Puppey with his drafts, zai has looked really off since DAC and then we have the issue of them having 2 mid players and no real carry, which hinders their strategies quite a bit. But to not recognise them as a good team based on their results so far just because they didn't fulfill the highest expectations is a bit silly, I think they're definitely a top 5 candidate at TI although I can't see them winning it. They need to find a solution to their s4/rtz role conflict and polish their overall play before being in contention for big tournament wins. | ||

I don't know exactly how to order a top5 given that pretty much all of the top teams around the world changed their lineups at some point in the last 4 months and they've each only played at most 2 LANs or so. But let's say that I would be a bit surprised if a team outside of VG, iG, LGD, EG, c9 and Secret gets into top3 at TI. I would also be a bit surprised if any of these teams fall outside of the top8. The next few LANs will give a better idea of where Secret is heading. I highly doubt they will do as poorly as they did at SL. | ||
