Lewieke, Nonis, Shanahan.... lots of big talk by Lewieke. then Shanahan: "nothing we say here today matters". ![]() what is the "over under" on the # of minutes into the press conference before Shanny declares "i'm not a micromanager"?

CHI > STL - 6 - if the blues weren't missing most of their top 6 and running Ott on the first, I'd probably pick them ANA > DAL - 6 - Anaheim is definitely the better club, but I think the Stars have enough fire power to steal a couple. SJS > LAK - 7 - Usually I pick the defensive team, but SJS, and Pavelski in particular, have been looking real good. BOS > DET - 6 - Boston is better in every way, especially when Detroit probably won't have Zetterberg til the 2nd. TBL > MTL - 6 - Talent wise, Montreal can hang. Too bad Therrien is going to dump and chase them out of the first round. CBJ > PIT - 7 - CBJ is a deceptively good team. Top Cop is a rock in net, they've got a pretty decent defensive group, and their forwards are all good two way guys. Pitt is 100% a two line team up front, Malkin may still be banged up, has a mediocre defense, and Fleury sucks. Upset upset upset NYR > PHI - 6 - Philly has some great forwards, but that D/G clusterfuck is going to be exposed quickly. Also, Trotz got canned today. Poille remains on the Preds despite being totally unable to get legit top flight forwards. I can't imagine Trotz staying unemployed for more than a week.

They can match up with anyone and have been murdering playoff teams consistently for a while now. It's April. San Jose stops playing in April. The "Suck Switch" is flicked on and top players go all ghost like. I will never ever ever take a single SJ player in a pool or predict SJ to make it past round 1. Too many years of them being one of the west's best teams then no showing in April

They also have a history of curb stomping teams in the playoffs that beat them previously.

Of course all it takes is one dirty Brown knee on knee or elbow to the head and Hertl/Pavelski go out and that changes the entire dimension of the series. But just like with Miller, I dont believe that Niemie is in the right state of mind right now to be a clutch playoff goalie. The Sharks almost always get to at least round 2. Steve Simmons, SUN Media It hurts me to say this just because of the history but I'm going thumbs up to the San Jose Sharks, who year in and year out disappoint at this time of year, but I look at this team and all that size up front. The move of Joe Pavelski to left wing has really completed this forward group nicely and I think Marc-Edouard Vlasic's play at the Olympics taught him that he's a big-time guy now. He can elevate his game and I think that team, with Todd McLellan coaching, can come out of the west and can beat the Boston Bruins. They're too big and they're too fast. San Jose, your fate is sealed.

forget about the battles with Alan Eagleson or the losing seasons. the ugliest side is the idolatry and hero worship used to take advantage of vulnerable children. http://www.thestar.com/news/crime/2014/04/14/maple_leaf_gardens_sex_offender_to_plead_guilty_to_103_charges.html those coming forward were smeared as "conspiracy nuts".
