Ben Carson's campaign manager and a number of top aides resigned on Thursday, throwing the retired neurosurgeon's presidential run into turmoil as a controversial general prepares to lead the campaign's comeback effort.
Campaign manager Barry Bennett and communications director Doug Watts both resigned, effective immediately, after weeks of speculation about a shakeup. Carson last week indicated such a move, saying that "everything" was "on the table" as far as changes with his campaign, though he later walked that back and said, “I think the people that I have are spectacular.” Bennett told POLITICO that a slew of other senior operatives had stepped down, too, from the campaign's general counsel to its controller.
Armstrong Williams, a close Carson confidant, told POLITICO that Robert Dees, a Carson advisor and retired Army general, will now chair the campaign, filling a leadership role that's been vacant for months. "General Dees is going to run the organization," Williams said.
It's unclear who will fill Bennett's post as campaign manager, handling the daily staff operation, but early reports indicated that the duty could fall to Ed Brookover, a veteran campaign strategist. "Brookover’s a good guy," Williams said. "Very responsive, people like him ... You have no idea what General Dees is going to ask of Brookover or anybody else."
Williams said Dees would bring more than foreign policy heft to Carson's campaign leadership. "This guy has managed many operations around the world. He’s managed people. He knows how to lead," he said.

Ben Carson and his supporters got straight up fleeced by Carson's campaign team.

Spending top dollar on fundraising has enabled the campaign to assemble a list of more than two million donors from whom it raises between $200,000 and $350,000 per day, a campaign spokesman said.
In all, Mr. Carson directed $11 million of the $14 million he spent in the third quarter to fundraising costs.

His "campaign" was almost exclusively a for profit endeavor to sell books and pocket fundraising money He had the same chance of being president as Herman Cain.

Exactly. I dont know if Churchill actually said such a thing but it's true. We are the best destination for immigrants bar none. Not that I've ever lived there but Canada seems like a better place.
Well for an anecdote, I have spent 8 years in the US. And 6 months in Canada, I like Canada. I also earn about 30 percent less than i did in the US and have a smaller market to use my education in. But it kinda feels worth it.

Just figure I'd stop by and show this monstrosity here. It's rather interesting how people have been clashing lately. I wonder if it's related to the potential candidates of this election or if this has always been present and I haven't been paying attention.

You haven't been paying attention. I've seen worse from "good" cops. Though Trump is certainly making people feel more comfortable expressing it in public (or on video where it ends up on youtube).
The comment section of any right leaning news source story with a non-republican black person in it is a good sample of the folks were talking about.
Pretty much anywhere white people interact with black people on the internet you can find the same racist gibberish. In RL most racists just avoid black folks (notice he said he was ~the 10th black person he had seen in his whole life) because most of them don't have the guts to say that shit to anyone's face (unless they are much smaller than the bully).
You notice even this guy couldn't say it like he does when he's typing out that kind of hate on the internet. He sounded like a child swearing in front of his parents for the first time, like any moment he would get his ass stomped like the cowardly shitbag he is.
At least he'll have lots of time to think about it since he won't be going back to work any time soon.

President Barack Obama will meet on Monday with attorney general Loretta Lynch to discuss executive actions he could take to make it harder for “a dangerous few” to get their hands on guns.
Obama said on his weekly radio address that he gets so many letters from parents, teachers and children about the “epidemic of gun violence” that he can’t “sit around and do nothing”.
“The gun lobby is loud and well organized in its defense of effortlessly available guns for anyone,” Obama said. “The rest of us are going to have to be just as passionate and well organized in our defense of our kids.”
Obama recently directed staff at the White House to look into potential executive actions, such as expanding background checks.
Currently, federally licensed firearms dealers are required to seek background checks on potential firearm purchasers. But advocacy groups say some of the people who sell firearms at gun shows are not federally licensed, increasing the chance of sales to customers prohibited by law from purchasing guns.
A source familiar with the administration’s efforts said Obama is expected to take executive action next week that would set a “reasonable threshold” for when sellers have to seek a background check. That person didn’t know whether it would be based on the number of guns sold or revenue generated through gun sales.
The source, a member of a gun control advocacy group, was not authorized to discuss details before the announcement and spoke on condition of anonymity. White House officials won’t confirm the timing.

He's standing in front of a bunch of people he sees as significantly lesser than himself. Whether or not he sees all black people in that category isn't that important. The important thing is that he labels a bunch of people he knows little-to-nothing about as worthless. Beyond that, it's all just troll-speak he's using to get a rise out of the people around him.
He should have gotten "hit back to reason and love" regardless of his "racism."

I don't see any problem with him believing those people are protesting for a bad reason and saying they are "lazy fucking hippies" or something alike, even if it take the form of an insult, it is a judgement I can respect even if I disagreed with or if it's wrong. It is just stupid, that's it. I cannot respect someone saying to another guy he is an ape and a negro or whatever.

Just call them as you want, the whole discussion is pointless. People wanted to ban the word 'nigger' from Twain's work, this makes you understand how ridicolous the whole issue has become. I personally would not care at all if I were called white, milky, paleskin or whatever you can think about

Whether we should be allowed to change art is a very different discussion than whether you should respect other people and social norms. If you're older than fifteen the latter is usually a good idea.
