I dont know if Churchill actually said such a thing but it's true. We are the best destination for immigrants bar none.

Same poll showed Bernie Sanders winning 51-38 which is amazingly landslide

You're just making up your own phrase, which is fine, but you're not paraphrasing Churchill. You're straight up changing the meaning of Churchill's original quote. If you're going to paraphrase you keep the original meaning while not maintaining the precise wording.

Majorities both of Republicans (67 percent) and Democrats (55 percent) favor government surveillance of Americans’ Internet activities to watch for suspicious activity that might be connected to terrorism. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! How many have fallen to the terrorism propaganda? Do you know what will be next? Bathtubs kill more Americans than terrorism! I lose a little faith when reading articles like this. I know some of you post everything on Facebook anyway - so you don't really care. I do care though. There's many of reasons why I fight on these topics so diligently, and why I want you to understand this is a terrible path to travel. Edward Snowden gave up everything - hot wife, $200k a year job, live in Hawaii, play on computers all day - Just to let people know the NSA was spying on Americans on American soil - and I will not let him go down in just a faint memory. You need to stand up for the Bill of Rights and why the states required them to be included before they would join 228 years ago. Your second amendment and fourth amendment rights will be taken right before your eyes - and the sixth will be next. Yes, I am pissed off. I just moved and I already registered to vote. I recommend you do the same. Happy New Year. Source

My Dad, who as far as I know has not even voted since the Nixon administration, let alone made any donations to the Republican party, got his own version of this in the mail a while back. + Show Spoiler + ![]() I'm trying to convince him to frame it. The calm yet strong visage of Ben will look down on the homestead for generations to come.

If you could give us that and we give you some social policies that would be a good idea I think. The person above you made a great post btw, just wanted to say. Don't think Europe should adopt Americas cultural attitude towards immigration. America is a country of imigrants and Europe is not. What works for the usa doesn't work for Europe. Immigration and globalization work for the usa but it doesn't work for Europe,it doesn't make the live better for the people living in spain, greece and france. Only the northern countries profit to some degree from the globalization and immigration. I get why some people like immigration, it slowly destroys the national identity and makes room for even more globalization and maybe a unified government one day far in the future. Its great for the rich, but the middle class gets whipped out and the lower class suffers. The odds that you are born in a lower class household are increasing all the time.

Have not met many americans in my life but from what I hear from friends who did and who travelled in the states they are all nice, friendly, and easy going people. We in Europe don't think americans are horrible, we just think America as a country is horrible ![]()

See, here's the thing about all this "hoo-rah"ing about your own country: it doesn't rely on any kind of evaluation of observable facts, or criteria for the evaluation of those facts. What do you mean when you say you're the best destination for immigrants, bar none? Do you mean in terms of immediate economic outcome? What about the economic outcomes of second and third generation children of immigrants? What kind of social programs exist to support those immigrants? What kind of communities for those immigrants exist already? What about issues of violence or perceived persecution? Intergration? There's like a million ways you could attempt to measure your statement. But you don't provide any kind of criteria, or any facts to back those criteria up. Instead you just say "we're da best", like you're at a pep school rally. Functionally, you're not actually saying anything at all.
