Refs just stole that game from OKC You could argue that Durant had a charge with just over a minute left, and instead they called blocking foul. Refs just stole nothing. Battier was moving on the blocking foul. By the time his feet had set, Durant was already in the air. That call was fine. If anything, it was 50/50 AT BEST. That last no-call? HOLY FUCK. You can't ARGUE there was no foul. Edit to above^: actually, Battier had his feet moving. You can notice it. Like, lifted up a little bit and moving. That's not set. That's moving. I'll give you that it should have been a foul on james on the last shot. It's gotta be tough in that situation to be king-maker though. But to say that the refs cost OKC the game is an exaggeration. If OKC played in the first like they did in the second, they wouldn't have had to rely on last minute efforts. Yeah, that was a heat of the moment post, no pun intended. They just came so close, and god, a come back would've been orgasmic. Also, Tien, you little hypocrite. Remember your old posts? The way it's called in the NBA places too much emphasis on the feet. Battier was clearly already in position, but yeah the refs aren't gonna throw KD out on that. It still definitely shouldn't be a blocking foul. So let's see what you admit: He was in position, but his feet were moving hence the "too much emphasis on feet," but you also wrote "It still definitely shouldn't be a blocking foul", but now, it should be? Huh... I didn't know someone re-wrote history. What are you talking about? That was 100% a charge, KD got the superstar late call from the wrong official on that. Where am I a hypocrite? When I said that there is too much emphasis on feet, that's because of the difference in the call between the NCAA and NBA levels. Look at his shoulders and upper body, he's clearly in position the whole time. On the slow-mo you can catch the feet sliding but you know the ref didn't see that. Yeah, sorry, I fail at reading. xD But still, his feet were sliding. :/ It's a BS call, but maybe strictly following the NBA rulebook it was a block. But there's no doubt in my mind even if Battier's feet were set he still wouldn't have gotten it. Them's the breaks.
I agree that it wouldn't have changed if his feet were set, but I disagree that it's a BS call. I think it's a lucky call, a really lucky call, that was the right call by NBA rules. And that's what we're dealing with here anyway. I still think the no-call on Durant was stupid, and it wouldn't have given them any chance to win anyway, as it would be on the Heat to make a basket for the win. If anything, I'd have loved a 5 minute overtime craze.

He deserves it. He was HORRIBLE. His shot selection was HORRIBLE. His numbers aren't bad but like they said he didn't lead this team anywhere except into a deeper and deeper hole

To all the haters of Miami, take that!

Damn Durant avg 16 in the 4th so far that's impressive. That 3 he hit after the steal at the end was just clutch, favorite shot of the game.

I don't think anyone hates Miami because they don't think they are good, so I don't know what good winning does.

Looking at the numbers, Shane is absolutely going crazy this series, he is still blowing my mind. I am dazed and confused lol.

Well, if they do win the chip you can expect a sudden influx of bandwagon Heat fans, so there's that. :p

I can understand 65%, but 80%? I mean, the league average is 75%, why are you shocked that someone cant hit 80% when most of the league cannot hit 75%? Probably b/c it something you been doing your entire life. They are the easiest point to get yet some many players are bad at it.

Yay Ace you're here did you see the whole game? Or did you just refrain from posting?
Anyway that was still an exciting (Tebow style x47) game, would have felt the same way if the result had been different (but just really depressed at the end). To Heat's home we go! With the split, the series remains very competitive; 0-2 for Heat would really have been pretty scary (for me) and potentially make for a more boring series.

2-3-2 format is pretty silly for the higher seed if they drop one of the first two. This win was BIG.

although excessive, he does deserve criticsm, some of the shots he took first half was pretty bad...

pretty hard to win 3 in a row at home too, but i agree, i prefer 2-2-1-1-1

And yeah I definitely prefer 2-2-1-1-1 as well

I didn't even watch the game. I will later. Good Miami won, as I was hoping they'd just get 1 out of 2 since the 2-3-2 format is a monster advantage for the lower seed if they win once. Kinda upset Miami could been up 2-0 but oh well.

They should really stop fronting KD with that question about the non call at the last shot. Got damn media ffs. He can get fined! Not like media can get fined...

I believe the only time the lower seed has won in 5 was the Pistons vs the lakers.
Its actually a bigger advantage for the higher seed imo.
