i don't know if some one suggest this or not
but you should state in the schedule if there's any match cancelled
It's pre-recorded, right ? it's not a spoiler or anything, i think, but it makes me
not felling disappointing too much
I wait to watch Boxer and Artosis and none of them can play this week
I know u feel bad but i feel bad to waiting, rescheduling my stuff (since its in the morning here)
to watch and just what i want is not there. Absolutely disappointing right now.
I hope you take my suggestion in to consideration.
Thank you

Hire Mr. Bitter full-time to cast!

NASL is improving by having Mr. Bitter cast.

Does anyone else feel that the majority of the casters on NASL chit-chat to each other about the games rather than commentate the games to the viewers?

And just because one person claims to know what the majority of people think, that should not discredit the opinions of many comments from different posters about the quality of a specific caster. its just like that this people push each other and new guys just hop on. You know this kind of thing you see on "internet-forums" . Guys who think "i dont like gretorp at all" post this all the time. But people who think "hes a quit good caster" dont post this all the time because they dont care so much. Its diffrent with other popular casters because they have many fanboys. Gretorp is a good caster but not one of the guys who collect fanboys. This result in the fact that you see many negative posts here and fewer positive I think it's just a matter of time until Gretorp is completely accepted as a caster. Remember, people hated on Tasteless a lot during GSL season 1 and 2, but once they got used to him, everybody came to like him. Besides, the viewer numbers speak the loudest. 15k for both the NA and Euro casts is pretty impressive. If they can get more Koreans next season, they might hit the TSL viewership rates.
I still get bored by Tastosis sometimes... they just don't bring the excitement that casters like Day9 Husky or Moletrap provide. Artosis gives awesome commentary, but I was not feeling Tasteless last night...
...and despite my misgivings, Gretorp is far more boring. Gretorp + Idra or Gretorp + whoever was casting for Fenix vs Sheth are worse than me muting and putting on music.
I think the viewer count mostly shows how awesome it is to have a regularly streaming league that has matches so many days of the week. Of course, by the same coin, it would be impossible to expect GSL level excitement for something that so regularly streams.
This is supposed to be a thread about improving NASL, and this is what I would suggest:
Add two additional streams, one from each of the players' POV with no commentary whatsoever, just the sound of the units and maybe music. That way I can watch Fenix doing awesome multi-tasking, or whatever, and not miss any action (like the casters did), and I personally prefer watching people's live streams (like TLO Huk and Carn to name a few) than many tournament games (I just really enjoy watching the pro's perspective and not having to open up SC2 and download the replay just to see it).
- Hey, Liquid Tyler just started streaming! *closes my NASL tab*

Do you know what i love about Bitter? He actually listens to what gretorp is saying? He pays attention to him, look at that eye contact — he responds instead of waiting to talk again. Its takes an active listener to be a good co-host on top of knowledge and being well-spoken.
I hope they bring him back more and more, he seems very relaxed and confident. Lastly, is it just me or is his demeanor rubbing off on gretorp?

Mr. Bitter did a fantastic job, hope to see him casting more in the future.

I don't understand the purpose of the European restreaming. I live in Europe and definately would prefer to be able to see the vods now instead of a restream tonight.

they dont give you the vods because you need to buy a hd ticket to get them.
@mrbitter casting did noone notice the thor/banshee joke? gretorp was thinking it was a joke and so did i. but looks like he was serious. funnyest part in the cast...

Hire MrBitter full time! He did an amazing job, imo. Maybe some other casters (Artosis/Day9 w/ djWheat) - but I feel like incontrol and gretorp does a good job. I think the pauses between every match is a bit annoying, but I understand that there's probably a lot of guys out there that likes it.

Hire MrBitter full time!
And allow me to log in to view the ad-free stream more easily Maybe I'm just missing something, but the only way I can figure out how to log in is to attempt to change the resolution, which can't be done until after the ad. So sometimes I have to wait 30 seconds (missing game action since I usually turn it on about 45 minutes after the broadcast has started), then try to change resolution, and then log in and get my 1080p, ad-free stream.
EDIT: Also, I don't like that 60 second countdown timer. That's where ads are being placed, right? For paid streams, it's just as bad as ads. I'd prefer to go straight into the game. If people on the free stream want to not miss the first minute, they can pay.

I like the idea of having a lot of games to determine the best player, but as it gets toward the end of the season, while there are players in awesome matches who are fighting for their life, there are players that "are just playing for pride" which makes their matches pretty uninteresting. I think it will also contribute to the amount of walkovers (if a player doesn't want to waste time playing when they can't possibly get out of their group). I know this happens in regular sports a lot (well it happens inbaseball atleast, cuz its the only one i really watch) but maybe there is some super-clever way to eliminate players who have hopeless records, or give them some kind of point system so their wins will count.
Also yay for Bitter.

I am the only one finding the music transitions (especially at the end of each game) way too loud? I mean compared to the overall level of the casters. It reminds me of obnoxious tv ads volume..
Otherwise great entertainment. Big thumbs up for Mr. Bitter!

In the wait time between matches, when the count down timer is counting down. below this you have the side scrolling message says what match is upcoming. You have the NASL 'Logo' above and on the scrolling text... It looks strange to me, having 2 NASL logos showing. Maybe switch the scrolling text logo to the race match up instead like PvT, PvP, etc.

No, you are not. The commercials too. I can't watch this in a room with other people in it because the sudden insanely loud bursts bother them.

Whatever ad server JustinTV ties into needs to set volume standards before streaming them because one is dead silent and the next blows my speakers clean off my desk.

DONT MAKE THE TRANSITION MUSIC SO GODAMN FUCKING LOUD
Sorry for getting angry here but I've complained about this since day one of it being implemented.
Ok; transition music is good. What is fucking abhorrent is that the bass/tempo in the transition music is immensely more powerful than the bass of the casters, so watching this at night you always ALWAYS have to manually lower the cast 50-80% during transitions (and sometimes inbetween "gg" and after-match talk due the mini-transition and its music) and it's starting to piss me off... infact its gotten louder since before.
Please for us who have NASL in the background get some music that is either in good contrast to the voice pitches of the casters, or atleast make it a tad lower, sometimes its good sometimes its really bad. Just copy the GSL where the casters/music/game sound are always in harmony.
