Idra says he would not be surprised to see ZERO Zergs in the round of 16 gsl! Because of Balance!
2 gsls later: Zerg semi-finalist, Zerg winner.
Gotta love those balance whines.
If the next GSL had been played on exactly the same maps and patch he would have almost definitely been right. That interview was before they announced all the map changes which helped zerg tremendously. The patches have helped too.
Just goes to show that 32 players is NOT enough to root out the weaker players. I don't think Inca is even a top 20 player, but he got in. The 64 man tournament will be baller this season. Tired of this 2x32 man tournament crap.

Well i think the basis of that conclusion is that Nestea has showed great games consistently against the best players in the world, showing that he actually has a large amount of skill.
Inca on the other hand is a little less known and when you see an unknown player cheese, i mean do a timing attack, you draw the conclusion of a bad player.
Except people always say zergs are great when they do 2 base timings and always call terrans/protosses bad when they do the same especially if they do it vs zerg.
BitByBit and Rain are both PoS cheesers because it is all they're capable of doing. Every game, they go in ready to pull off their next premeditated cheese. They're not capable of successfully playing a mid-game, forget a late-game.
You need to watch more of Rain's games.
no one needs to do that lol
I watched a game where Rain made it into the late game. Then oGsTop was like 80 supply ahead of him... So I do agree that Rain doesn't always all-in and makes it into the late game sometimes, but when he does he usually loses... badly.
Yeah man, holding his own against that scrub IMMvp just shows how bad Rain is. All the rain hate really annoys me, his all ins are stupid, yes, but his macro is very solid when he actually shows it.

This final was dissapointing
This. Rain seems very weak in TvZ because he relies heavily on weird all-ins but that doesn't mean that he can't macro or anything, more that he don't really understand the match-up / don't have enough confidence in this MU. I used to think that Rain was a very bad terran but after seeing some of his TvT/TvP he is really decent.

Are you korean? If not, then don't spread out lies about korea like you know what you are talking about 'detective'.
Although alot of performances are lip synched, it is because their choreography requires alot of physical work and dancing and singing at the same time means their voices will sometimes be strained, eg. breathing loudly into the microphone etc.
But that doesn't mean they cannot sing live. They do sing live at important concerts (eg, their own, or other big concerts) but the GSL isn't an important concert, heck they are just paid to show an appearance, sing a couple of songs, and be on their merry way with an extra 30k or so. They are not interested in us nerds, and they do these appearances all the time, it's how they make money. I saw them at this half time soccer match show and they pretty much did the same thing and I saw them yesterday at the GSL too, up close.
Unless it's really important, they won't really bother to put in any effort. If you search hard enough on youtube you can find concerts where they sing and dance live.
And if you doubt their singing abilities (you think they lip synch because they cannot sing irl) I suggest you click on the links below
(this is one of the girls from the last GSL, girl's day, who also lip synched with their performance)
(this is girl's day singing live at an 'important' concert sort of, where it is televised with alot of viewers)
I couldn't be bothered to find one of t-ara because I'm not a big fan of them too much,
Please don't post lies making it out to be the truth because you are misleading alot of people that may not have alot of idea about korea.
And I ask you guys, what is the definition of good music? Good music is dependant on who is listening, NOT what you guys think a good music is. Kpop may not be to your taste (it really isn't mine too) but korean people love it, japanese people like it, and so does alot of asian countries so who are you to say that Kpop is bad? Some koreans may not like U2 or maroon 5 or Cold Play but whatever you guys are into but that does not make it bad music. If there is at least 1 person that likes a song, then it is a good music to THEM. I don't get how you guys can have to audacity to say which music is good or which music is bad like you ACTUALLY know what the definition of a good music is. It's all relative to each person and if you don't like Kpop, fine, you are entitled to your own opinion but you can't go around saying its bad music just because you don't like it. There are millions of people that do like it. otherwise it wouldn't be as popular as it is today.

agreed with the "good music" thing but anyway im quite sure they use backing tracks
haha IU is pretty good, I just thought to make a long post to educate people on the common misconception about k-pop. If you just watch those 2 videos, you'll know that they can actually sing, and they sing live on televised concerts. The GSL isn't even important to them. I actually doubt any of them can even remember the names or the faces of the players that they 'rooted' for. Plus they dance better on the important concerts, pretty uninspiring performances at the GSL I must say...It was actually worse irl, the camerawork actually made them out to be abit better then they actually were. Saw them twice, and was disappointed twice. Maybe I should go to one of their good ones. BUT so many people turned up to the GSL just to see T-ara...then left when they finished LOLOL.

Yeah well either way, this thread shouldn't be about the validty of Kpop but rather starcraft, so lets get back to that:
I taught him my rush well, also I don't know how to wear a hat.
No seriously, that hat looks a little off.
On a more important note, according(Don't quote me on this) to supernovamaniac, who hanged out today in the BW chat, PlayXP reported 1-2k people at the these GSL finals, which is much more then previous GSL finals as far as I know.
It was a crap final, Inca is a bad player period. It was painful watching him play, especially since I travelled 4 hours to daegu for the shortest final ever. Even the korean caster said that the final ended sooner than planned, and there was alot of spare time left over LOL. The only good thing was I travelled in the same elevator as the IM team! I stayed behind after everyone left and they were doing this post match interview with nestea and we went down the elevator together afterwards. Got a picture with MVP and nearly went to dinner celebration with them but MVP told me they were going back to Seoul and we were staying behind so I ended up having dinner with moletrap and my mate. Pretty good night.
EDIT: yeh it was packed...there were people lining up outside who couldn't get in in time because the place was too packed and there weren't any seats left. We nearly couldn't get in as well but luckily we met a staff who led us through sorta the backway. There were about 50 more people lining up who couldn't get in until T-ara finished, and the people who only came to see T-ara left lol.
Its really just plain bad luck and possible slightly due to the GSL format that we've ended up with so many one sided finals. One in form guy against someone who rode their luck to get there. There are plenty of very exciting and tense SC2 matches all over this tourney and previous GSLs. The bad finals are not indicative of the state of SC2 at all.

This final proves my point exactly.
Now what's this NesTea v.s. SC that I am hearing so much about. Time to check it out.
Has there been a single good Code S final?
One could argue Fruitdealer played against all odds to beat rainbow. Then again Rainbow isn't the best terran around eh? Still Fruitdealer played immaculately in the finals, made me so happy for SCII!!
Um.. All the other finals were good in that both sides played at a very high level and the skill difference wasn't THAT pronouced. (Cough Inca)
Did Inca choke? Or is he seriously the Horang2 of SCII

Inca didn't choke, he just got outclassed big time here. He doesn't even deserve to be in the final.
