That's the whole point of getting good, you learn to beat crappy rush strategies and learn to go later in the game. Playing macro games means that you are good enough to fend off the cheese and are better than your opponent in that you beat him or her in a more complex game (the late game) in which you would be rewarded because you are the better player, basically making it more likely for you to win. That is why you will never see a pro who can't go to the late game.
Simply put, being able to play a macro game is something you earn.

I don't think I deserve to be in Bronze, but thanks for the comments that are just gonna make it even harder for me to keep trying. =D
The point of this blog was for me to whine and cry, to see if anyone else felt like this, and that was it. I didn't really want advice or anything from anyone, to be honest.
Edit: lol i'm gonna read this blog later and be embarrassed and how whiny and retarded I am. yesss.

The more you play against cheese the better you should be getting at scouting/stopping it. Especially Bronze level cheese which is horribly executed. Think of it as an opportunity to work on becoming cheese-proof, it's good practice.

lol, don't expect the cheese to become less frequent as you get higher up on the ladder, expect it to be better executed. PROPER SCOUTING!

I find the ladder kind of depressing at times.
Just played a guy who proxy gated me on Steppes of War. I crushed it because he was fucking terrible. Checked his match history, and sure enough he does it every single game. He has 800 games, and is 2300 Diamond with more points than me =/
So the moral of the story is don't expect to get cheesed any less even if you get out of Bronze =/
Also, you'd think that after proxy gating 800 games in a row that the guy would be able to execute it properly, right? But nope, still terrible. And 2300 Diamond. The cheese doesn't stop, it just gets (marginally) better as you go up the ladder imo.
|
Just stop QQing, get over it, and thank them for the free wins. bronze cheeses are executed to horrendously it's almost laughable. Cannon rushes where they dont even attempt to hide the first pylon, putting cannons right in the open rather than hugging an edge, going 4 warpgate without using chrono on the warpgate upgrade, marine marauder pushes without stim, absolutely no forcefields, and banshee rushes where they get impatient and suicide the banshee into two queens.
It's such a joke, just take your free win and move onto the next game.

...at least you CAN play. I played sc2 for like 10 games after getting it in Xmas, then it crashed my laptop and my laptop died. It was the only PC I had with good enough graphics to even barely play it on minimum. (

I was going to post an inspiring and mind-blowing revelation about Starcraft, but you don't want advice so... whatevs.

Moral of the story is that laddering is depressing and should be avoided at all costs.

Bronze is so cheesy because most are trying to get out of bronze.

It's not worth it to keep getting cheesed if I can't beat it in the first place. :U

@Raeleigh I say try and have fun with canon rushing. You need to at least to try and have fun to keep sane specially losing mass games to cheese. Huk canons every game in metalopolis and it makes me want to canon my games too.

When I won, it wasn't even a satisfying win. The guy said, "Gah, and I wanted to play a normal game." and left, and I felt bad. ;_____; !!!

Seriously, your happiness is to be earned by yourself. People like Cedric are trying to help you when you are simply neglecting that since all you want is this sympathetic treatment from everyone else. If you want to stop this cheese, scout and react properly to the situation.
EDIT: My bad I guess this was a thread where you just wanted to be related to after all. Didn't read pg 2

I just want to share my pain with others and feel their pain too T^T /me hugs circle

cheesing is part of the game. many korean pros have cheesy all-ins.
it is all a part of getting better at this game. You are good mid-late game. this is good.
in fact, i strongly recommend learning cheese yourself because it is good to have many builds especially when you are bo5ing.
you are just weak early game where cheese is so deadly. def it and u will promote no problem.
this is coming from a 3k terran with 3k games. so i know what im talking about.
