You get 1 point for each round you qualify to, including the RO64, and 2 points if you are the grand champion, so you get
ro64-1
ro32-2
ro16-3
ro8-4
ro4-5
ro2-6
champion - 8
simple as that.

Plus thats a stupid assumption to say he has bad ZvZ therefore he wont make s-class He is basically guaranteed to make S class even if he loses in RO64, if he gets into RO32 then the chances of him not making S are less than 2% probably.

Actually, I'm fairly certain it is impossible for IdrA not to make S-class. He didn't even have to qualify. The important thing (the one thing that could have stopped him) was that SanZenith, TankboyPrime, AND LegalMind all failed to qualify. In a nightmare doom-scenario, SanZenith, TankboyPrime, Leenock, LegalMind, and a few others could have ALL made it to the Round of 16 and then lost (moving on would have given them S-Class in a different way). Now, there just aren't enough players to create the "nightmare doom-scenario". Even if that happened with all remaining players, IdrA would still barely scrape by.

This, but not sure if they use points for this. Rather we know that they are using ranks. The same concept still stands though. Each time you get to a new round or qualify again is a promotion. Obviously HopeTorture has the highest rank after which Fruitdealer comes.

Basically each round or ro64 qualification = promotion and winning the tournament = 2 ranks increase in promotion. The concept is simple. So giving points on each rank/round of xx apearance is the most simplistic one.

The system confuses me, but it seems fair to the players who put in the effort to participate in all the GSL open seasons as well as those who were prepared enough to go the distance in a single GSL season. I would still like to see TLO with an S-class ranking eventually, though.

He had a Ro16 finish and then a Ro32 finish, tying him with EG.IdrA and oGsTheWind.

First u need to be top 32 Korean ladder which is not easy at all Then you need to beat bot 32 of A class Then you need to be the top of A class ( out of 96 ppl) Then you need to beat the bottom of S class Much much harder than just winning 4 Bo3 TLO stood a very decent chance getting S class if he had participated in GSL 3.

Thanks for the heads up on TLO not being in Korea....................I already knew that TLO left korea to go back home and stay there for a bit. Basically the point I was trying to make was when TLO returns and tries to join the A-class tournment in order to try and attempt to take down S-class players, it will not happen.

Overall a very beautiful OP and yes, its now that everything settles so GSL3 will be the most exciting as of yet for sure. Also, a lot of posters in here seems to have completely misunderstood the OP or are just stupid.

The last thing i am trying to do is Troll. Honestly, all I wanted to say was although TLO making S-class would be awesome because I do love his style of play. It is just very unlikely because he just lacks the amount of skill it is going to take in order to become S-class after these GSL's qualies are over.
