You must be bad at reading the chart, There's a gap between 15 and 24, which are reserved for GSL 3 RO8 players. There are only 5 qualified players that can pass Idra without making into RO8.

Hmmm, awesome that Idra has S-rank. I think he deserved, qualifying for all 3 GSL's isn't a trivial matter it seems.

Weird that GOMtv would use a different ranking system for the point to determine S-class and for the "name" ranking system though. I'll explain what I mean:

On this site:
http://www.gomtv.net/news/256/0
they say that you do not get +1 rank if you had qualified for a previous GSL.

However, this site
http://esports.gomtv.com/gsl/community/view.gom?m=community&msgid=4585&c=all&p=1
does give points for making it into the RO64.

So after a few GSL's the name rankings would not correlate anymore with the actual points? That seems very counter intuitive to me.

Am I missing something here?

S-Class is not about ranks. If they had to choose between say Idra (If he lost in the RO64) and Sanzenith, who has the same rank as idra but didn't qualify for GSL3 to be in S-class, who would they pick??? The tie breaker would be who qualified more. Hence, they give points for qualifying.

Yep, just double checked this and IdrA is indeed guaranteed S-Class (as is Check and TheWinD). ~~I also believe Hyperdub and Clide are guaranteed S-Class and san is guaranteed to at least tie for the last spot in S-Class, but someone might want to double check those 3.~~

As for A-Class, anyone who has at least a ro32 finish OR qualified for more than 1 GSL will have A-Class. All the players who qualified for 1 GSL and lost in the ro64 will be tied for the remaining spots and GOM will have to figure out a way to rank them. Maybe a tournament or something.
