I wonder if these guys think Funday Monday is a waste of time too? Achievement hunting is fun for some people. I'm betting a lot of the guys in this thread are just angry cause someone had fun in the game instead of getting pissed off because they lost 3 ladder games in a row.

Speaking of which, I have too much time to waste and am a stupid achievement whore as well. Never did it in any other games before, but if I was ever going to do it, I figured SC2 is the best game to try it out. I need the 2v2 and 3v3 insane co-op achievements (win with all race combos, and 15 win streaks). Anyone else interested in doing this, or know where I could find good players to do it with? I'm possibly up for farming additional wins, depends how long the games take. I have seen people open threads to ask this, they get closed down and told "there's already achievement hunter threads to post in", but I have never found a thread like that.

Top players have like 100 achievement points, a high achievement score is nothing more than proof of too much time to waste + some level of completionist OCD. uh team-game win-farming has been recognized as a legitimate issue by blizzard, and it will be addressed soon. Clearly it was not intended to be abused in order to quickly gain achievements. So no, he doesn't deserve his team quick match achievements. Unless he got all his 3000 wins legit, in that case props to him.

It's understandable why some people would call it not legit. But some people would call worker rushing unfair... some would even call 6 pooling cheating. Where do you draw the line? You can't go by opinion... the rules have to be set by the game itself. Have it disallow wins if you leave too early or whatever. But right now, the game sets no rules, so technically they did achieve 1000 wins. I am curious if Blizzard is going to remove achievements and wins from people who used this method. They didn't actually break any rules.

Have it disallow wins if you leave too early or whatever. worker-rush/6-pool can easily be beaten. When someone in your 4v4 game leaves your team within the first 5 seconds...there's nothing you can do, your team is now at a disadvantage. Are you saying that if you intentionally leave a 4v4 game at the very beginning, that you "deserve" credit for the win if the team wins? Uh....of course not. Anyone reasonable would define "deserve" as "get by NOT abusing/exploiting the system". People who start & leave 20+ 4v4 games per hour to get wins are clearly abusing/exploiting the system. Now of course they're not going to get banned or anything. But in my eyes (and 99% of the community) these people clearly don't deserve the wins they get from win-farming. Not sure how you're even making an argument against this o_O And btw Blizzard has stated they will fix this by not giving you a win if you join & quickly leave a game: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/777597897?page=2#32

The 3000 1v1s were more around 5 or less. Also for the team games, you can do a ton of them in parallel because you join and leave and immediately start searching for a new one while the one you left continues.

If you 6 pool and fail, your team is also at a disadvantage. My point is, the rules can't be set by player opinion because different people have different opinions. Win farmers are certainly exploiting the system, I agree. But there's no rule against using the most effective way to achieve the goal. When I got the "defeat 4 Very Hard AI" and "2 Insane AI" achievements, I exploited the weaknesses in the programming. I made them play zerg, and took advantage of the fact that Zerg AI never makes anything that can beat a cannon walloff, and responds very poorly against void rays. Sure, that's not exactly the same thing as avoiding the battle altogether... but who gets to decide whether this is allowed or not? The game itself has to define the rules and allow/not allow certain things to work. Otherwise we're in the realm of "don't throw me in Street Fighter, that's cheese and you can't do that!" "Don't 4-pool me, that's not fair because I can't beat it!" Now I actually agree that this is an exploit and win farming never should been allowed to take place at all. But I would be opposed to any bans or removal of wins/achievements, because these players did not break any rules, and some people would commend them for taking the most direct path.
