Anyway, it just shows a strong person who was able to overcome one big personal defect. It must be very rare having expirienced both the life of a morbidly obese person and the life of one in great shape.

Excess skin after weight loss isn't primarily affected by which method you used. It is determined by a bunch of different factors but mainly determined by the rate at which you lose the weight. If you lose weight slowly, your skin will have more time to restore its elasticity and "snap back into place." My guess is that this guy had some sort of bariatric surgery in addition to eating healthy/working out(he looks fucking ripped in the last picture) that led to a rapid weight lost. Not to mention that removing that much fat through liposuction would never be allowed. Liposuction is more of a cosmetic surgery used to remove 5-10 pounds from certain "important" areas i.e. ass, midsection, thighs.

The second part of the show just showed how difficult it was for him to date other women and try to socialize with others in general mostly because his mindset was still that of a 650 pound man. The show was actually really good. Here is a link to another news story about this.... very inspirational. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31845266/ns/today-today_relationships/ edit: Beaten to it by a video and a link above me...........
