God damnit.
About fifteen friends of mine had an intervention with me the other day, they god damn tricked me to my friends place.
But what for?
I smoke enormous amounts of weed every day(get it for free), drink(and party heavily) 4~ times a week and especially for unsafe sex. Now I'm really healthy considering my extremely volatile lifestyle, now the thing is... all my friends did something pretty damn freaky. They all went together and are sending me to god damn thailand for 2 months to live in a god damn buddhist god damn friggin god damn something. Now you might think "cool thailand" okay listen, this is in the middle of nowhere and i'll essentially be a prisoners with these monk dudes, and i'll have to live like I'm from the year 1000 or something. Which is kind of cool, BUT FOR TWO MONTHS?
It's pretty awesome by my friends but god damnit, this is seriously freaky, and I can't just say fuck no cause this was extremely expensive and I'd probably lose friendship if I just skipped this.
So i'll disapear for a bit over two months in december. But these buddhist dudes will hold my plane ticket home so I cant really just run away. But i'm considering just running off at the airport in bangkok and using my own money and just chill out for 2 months and buy my own ticket.
So if anyone is in bangkok december-february, and you dare, join up with me, i'm the most fun guy to hang out with. I'm not a douchebag as the picture I paint of myself, in the eyes of others i'm actually extremely kind and fun.
ps. god damn buddhists
Poll: what to do... (Vote): stay with the monk dudes (Vote): just walk away at the airport and have a vacation
I'm a total ass for even considering having a vacation instead, but hey, 2 months is a very very long time.

If you're at the point in your life where 15 of your good friends staged an intervention because you party too much, taking their money they spent on helping you and partying in Thailand is probably a really stupid idea.

It's a trap, they want you to get in bed with a transvestite.
What they didn't take into consideration was that you actually wouldn't mind that.

you could be the next karate kid, so i'm voting stay with the monks.
|
Yeah definitely. Stay with the "monk dudes". It could turn out to be really interesting.

I voted for you to do your own thing, but if you had that many of your friends sit you down and tell you your life is fucked up, they are obviously seeing something you're not. psychotic isolation is probably a bit extreme, but it definitely seems to be a sign that you need to change your life.

your friends know how to waste money

which is why they're sending you to a prison in another country for two months

Why pass up an opportunity to chit chat with some monks?

Obviously they know that you need it, or they wouldn't have dished out a huge amount of money for you to do this, and denying what they try to give you is just douchebaggery. Of course you probably won't enjoy being there, so cry.

well if you dont go to live with the monks and run away to do whatever you want, then you'll prove to them they were right about you and the intervention was necessary.

Go for a month of partying in Thailand then turn up to the monks a month late and hope they don't keep you prisoner for two months anyway. And then when you tell your friends that you went to stay with the monks it will be the truth

I'd normally go with "don't do things just because your friends tell you to or because you don't want to disappoint them/feel guilty" but when 15 friends get together and put money down up front their judgement of what is right for you probably outweighs yours.

I have already seen a gay monk and the guy was funny, he had a crush on a friend. That was hilarious. My friend was really uneasy and tried to dodge him rolf. ( We were visiting a pagod in Vietnam ).
edit: "interesting" or interesting ? xD

15 people that know you well making an objective decision from a 3rd person perspective on your life probably have a more reliable idea of whether you need to do this or not than you do
