No reason AT ALL this cinematic and reveal could not have been used in Lightfall.

Man that scene would have been so sick at Lifhgtfall. No clue why they felt the need to keep that so close to chest. The premise is really freaking cool. I think the name of the Witness is really stupid.

OK, here goes! "guys guys! Sony only gave us 87 Bazillion dollars. With cash this tight we simply can't put any resources in Gambit or PvP. Those game modes are not immersed in a quagmire of microtransactions like PvE so we can't afford to work on them. SO quit complaining and be friendly to all our employees; please remember that we are Bungie...we're not some giant impersonal multibillion dollar megacorporation... we're your friend. Our goal is to make you happy... money is not our concern. We'll have a big booth at GamesCom and we are not doing the same old thing of showing new PvP features for a game you've spent $800 on. Instead, our CMs will be hugging any Destiny2 fans who feel upset by the game or any other life issues they are experiencing. Free Hugs at GamesCom guys!" The microtransactions in D2 have reached comical proportions. Dustin Browder nailed it in his talk with Jace Hall in 2009. Alvin Toeffler move over ... Browder is the man who could see the future in 2009. "we need to find ways to get additional money out of our fans any way we can" with everyone complaining about microtransactions in Destiny 2 I think its time BUngie implemented the idea introduced by Samwise Didier in the video above. It is time for macrotransactions!

member when ATVI said they were not happy with the revenue Bungie was generating and ATVI would have to find new and better ways to get more cash from the players? Bungie's Luke Smith said they were happy with the revenue. Bungie leaves ATVI and goes on to monetize everything in the game and Bungie stops supporting anything that does not have a direct revenue stream. LOL. The battlepass within the battlepass is the best. Bungie the publisher has failed Bungie the game dev studio. MS and ATVI were both better publishers for Bungie. As a publisher Bungie are a bunch of rank amateurs. This is what happens when a bunch of software engineers and coding geeks with huge egos think they can handle finance. You end up with half the game disappearing and the current clusterfuck of a revenue model.

Also I am just going to throw this out here: + Show Spoiler + I think, may be wrong of course, that we will have to destroy the Traveler or w/e to prevent the Witness from taking control of it. Basically the Power Rangers in Space with Zordon ending. I could easily see Bungie ripping it off.

+ Show Spoiler + There was no way Bungie or even PlayStation would want a finale of an IP to be released before FF7 Rebirth, if isn't delayed as well, as they would be completely overshadowed... It really seems like that the Destiny IP is being put on ice after all this. Bungie, the Sony-owned game studio behind Destiny 2, let go an undisclosed number of staffers, according to people with knowledge of the matter. In an email to employees seen by Bloomberg, Bungie Chief Executive Officer Pete Parsons said staffers would be “hearing some news today” and that there would be a team meeting later in the day to “discuss today’s events.” The company didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Bungie recently delayed an upcoming Destiny 2 expansion, The Final Shape, until June from February, pushing it out of Sony Group Corp.’s current fiscal year, said the people, who asked not to be identified because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly. Bungie’s next game, Marathon, slipped to 2025. Sony, which purchased Bungie in early 2022 for $3.6 billion, has been cutting staff across its PlayStation division this year, in part due to delays. The unit lost several key producers this year, and PlayStation boss Jim Ryan said last month he will retire in March. Thousands of video-game workers have been let go in 2023 so far as companies look to cut costs, even after a year full of hits. Last month, Epic Games cut around 900 staff. Source

they delayed this expansion AFTER the "roadmap" was revealed and pre-orders were being accepted. Nasty. Sony is breaking up the "country club" atmosphere within Bungie. It is CRUNCH TIME!
