It is hilarious what happens to a studio when everyone can't simply blame Bobby Kotick. Kotick has to be the #1 best heel/bad-guy pro wrestling character since Andy Kaufman. Hell, Kotick might be better. What a genius. | ||

The amazing gun play and moment-to-moment combat in Destiny forced the Borderlands franchise to improve its combat. Players can fully own the Borderlands games. It'll be hilarious if the 1 thing that comes out of this "decade long epic saga" is better Borderlands combat. | ||

They hired several hundred developer//engineering people shortly after the Sony acquisition. They over hired. Then, they laid off all the people in charge of bullshit clubs like women@bungie, pride@bungie. They ended knitting lessons and cooking lessons etc etc. Law firms don't have this stupidity. Most software dev shops don't have this crap. My wife's actuarial firm doesn't have this garbage. And now, Bungie does not have it. If the current employees at Bungie do not like it they can leave. They are more focused on making software and less focused on politically correct BS. A big shot across the bow was fired and employees who do not like it can leave. It is clear Bungie over hired and Bungie is daring every single employee to leave. Sony is not fucking around. The country club atmosphere is over. IT IS CRUNCH TIME! I don't think those clubs are bullshit if they offer a support group, especially for Bungie who have publicly stated diversity and inclusion is....or was a value to them. | ||

Bungie has spoken with their actions and one must ignore their words. Also, it is frequently just for show. When you scratch beneath the surface you see its pretty much BS. On the Canadian west coast is Linus Media Group. They advertise all kinds of these "team building events". When you dig into it they are minimal with draconian constraints. A big one is "bi weekly softball nights". The company is 200km north of Seattle so that amounts to maybe 6 softball nights a year. | ||

It was such great fun playing Destiny2 at its peak. The game going to hell has no bothered me though. I employ the same strategy I did when I was 10 years old and got bored of a game ... I just play other stuff. Below... was some awesome fun. This content no longer exists. "Howard Roark Laughed."
