ESL Open Cups
The ESL Open Cups allow all aspiring professionals and talented players, based in Europe, South Korea and Americas, to participate in weekly tournaments. These contribute 15 points towards the ESL Pro Tour ranking and $100 USD in prize money, each tournament, each region, each week.
These tournaments are open for all players, there are no regional restrictions.

Week 2 and the AM cup has 2 Koreans and 2 Europeans in the semis. Hmm... Well at least Astrea is doing well in Korea.

Amazing, this is great! Thanks for hosting! 100$ a week in every region is amazing.

So is there a reason why most Koreans are skiping those cups? To early in the day maybe? I don't know how I feel with True winning a Korean cup without playing a single other Korean player.
Oh well, it still give some great games!

Oh well, it still give some great games! Last two weeks there was overlap with the BJ Destruction Match. This week everyone probably got wasted for Lunar New Year. We'll see how the bracket looks next week when there should be no significant overlap with anything. At least the online hero regulars should get involved then.

European brackets for last two tournaments are looking really different compared to last years challengers etc. because Reynor and Serral are missing and Elazer and Lambo are not reaching semifinals.

8 cups so far and 0 toss wins...

Do replays get released for these?

That series was fantastic. Parting's stream was also hilarious after he lost to Scarlett. Played the sad music and lamented his loss and eventually got $100 in donations lmao. He also sang 1000 miles w/ duckdeok which was.. interesting.

I didn't think so, but there have been a few casts from replays. Maybe try asking the admins on Discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/eslsc2.

Replay packs are not released to public, but we do our best to give access to the approved casters and content creators.

Solar is just gonna win every KR cup he participates in and have the easiest time ever getting to the Global Finals.

You need to win 50 cups to make up for a 17th-24th/9th-12th differential in GSL

The point distribution is different than for WCS last year (though we don't know all of its details yet including GSL). It's been changed to be less top heavy and also to have fewer points overall, so 50 cups will almost certainly be worth more than that. My guess is that 50 cups should be around the same value as a GSL top 4, but it really depends on how they want to weigh GSL against global events.

Neeeeeeeb
Heromarine on 3/5 in EU finals now, what a scrub.
|
Of course when Neeb shows up he's like 'you noobs lol' and wins this *cough* easily. Also HerMarine in 100% of the EU Cup finals that's not bad at all

The year is 2020 and both Astrea and Mcanning have a better seed than every single Koreans in a Korean cup bracket. Trump really did it
