Thanks, Yours forever in this life & the next, ModelsTV There was a 2 week sign-up period with the importance of signing up early being made public on May 31st. The event was also posted in all of the major foreign BW Discords, and unfortunately space is limited. Your chances of getting a computer are not high - we have reserved 50 computers out of ~60 available, and on Saturdays they have an attendance of ~20-30 people. It's unfortunate but a reality of life that there are deadlines for reservations, that there are not many venues with more than 60 computers that we are aware of. We made every attempt to put out the word about this tournament in as many places as possible. I'm sorry that you did not find out about it sooner, but there will always be next time.

Asking for a friend. -InCeL)dBaG Unfortunately no, but there is nothing stopping you (except the law, I guess)* from doing so in your car or somewhere out and about on the town. It's been done before. Just don't come in fully incapacitated and everything will be fine.

I bet if I was a lower MMR you'd let me in just fine, I know this was an issue in previous LANs but I thought by 2019 we'd be over this shit and we could all compete together as equals. I've had Korean friends before that were victims of MMR profiling for similar events but I never thought it'd happen to me, I just hope eventually your tournament can overcome this prejudice sometime soon. Yours forever in this life & the next, ModelsTV First you ban Ty2, then you actively avoid telling Models about the deadline so he'd miss it... I guess this event has no competitive integrity whatsoever, huh?

Yours forever in this life & the next, ModelsTV Someone else posted about the fact that their friend missed the sign up and that they are ~1700 MMR, and my response was essentially the same to them - that the chances are slim. If you want to feel persecuted, that's on you. The fact remains that people who sign up after the deadline don't get a guaranteed spot, because the computers have already been reserved for the amount of people that signed up, and there was a deadline by which we had to make the reservation final. It's really that simple, regardless of whether you are 2300 MMR or 1300 MMR. The NYC tournament scene has NEVER disallowed people from entering or participating due to their MMR, over the course of many years, many venues, many tournaments, organized by many different groups and individuals. And we never will.

I guess this event has no competitive integrity whatsoever, huh? The deadline for pre-sign-ups and for when we had to submit the reservation was in the OP from the first moment it was posted, until the deadline itself. After that, I removed it. So, from May 31st to June 14th, there was big text in the OP that said "we have to submit a headcount by June 14th." An announcement was then made on June 9th that due to a diminishing amount of available space at the venue, we would have to make a hard deadline on June 14th, which was the original deadline anyway. The tournament was promoted in every English-speaking BW Discord throughout this period. Somehow 50 people had no issue signing up before the deadline. Stop being disingenuous, please.

We will have a great turn-out with a great prize pool, a lot of old and new faces. Nothing of value has been lost, nothing has significantly changed. You can continue to be a Debbie Downer and try to fuel completely unnecessary drama, but that's not going to change the fact that people will attend and have a great time - which was our goal from the start. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
