Thanks for the tour anyway, you are doing great things for the scene nevertheless. BTW. Zealot even qualified for ASL7 from the most difficult qualifier to put things in the perspective.

If Brain wants to maximize the number of attendents / viewership then it's better to exclude koreans. If he wants to send money to korea and see foreigners getting crushed by koreans with limited players and viewers pool, he can surely keep the format as it is.

Although you may argue that allowing a stronger player result in exactly the opposite, I believe that the "fair competition" is one with neither unfair advantages nor restrictions. A ban of a nation is an unfair restriction, if not Nazism, albeit Koreans are indeed by far stronger than any other players. Many of top-tier players, like Eon, Dewalt, Cryoc, g0rynich, and yourself to name a few, made a one-out-of-10 win against top-tier pros and shared such replays. Such games often exposed weird strategies, and a Bo1 tournament encourages the same. There was nothing abnormal in your particular defeat against ZeloT. Your early bunkering attempt may have been scouted by any other zerg as well. To the contrary, a standard play against a 9pool would result in an advantage, enough to hope for a one-out-of-10 chance. I am sorry to hear you will forfeit the tournament, as your participation makes a difference, of course. Yet, I believe that a 2-hours long tournament makes no difference in your practice schedule, considering that a 3-hours long correspondence in this thread did not.
