BW Jeez weekly 17 @ April 28, 2019 (Overwatch) - Shine US$ 78.07.
As all other matches, the final one was played on Circuit Breakers. Korean professional spawned @ 11 and Polish Protoss @ 5. + Show Spoiler +
Zerg opted for 3 hatches, Protoss built a gateway opting for FE in the future. Protoss made a good effort to delay Zerg's 2nd. Yet, this was just delaying the 3rd. + Show Spoiler +
Protoss's two first Zealot rushed into Zerg's main. This resulted in heavy damage for Protoss who left nothing behind and almost no casualties for Zerg. + Show Spoiler +
Pressure followed, until eventually Hydralisk ended the game. + Show Spoiler +

BW Jeez weekly 18 @ May 5, 2019 (Cross Game) - Shine US$ 145.44.
As all other matches, the final one was played on Cross Game. Korean professional spawned @ 1 and his younger adversary with Protoss-like nickname @ 7. + Show Spoiler +
Notably, Shine's advantage was clear at already 0:30 mark. Despite ZeLoT spawned at a "Larva-movable" position, Shine managed to outperform him in mining. + Show Spoiler +
ZeLoT went for 9 pool seedlings, and Shine into 12 exp. Although 9pool seems to be an exact BO-win, ZeLoT gained nothing but killing a single drone, which was obviously not enough. + Show Spoiler +
Shine defended well against early mutalisk harras, and ZeLoT was very confused with what to do. He tried to sunken his opponent and eventually moved the drones back to his main, + Show Spoiler +
At ~9:00 mark ZeLoT made neat drone harassment, although the distraction ling attack was already on the go. + Show Spoiler +
Meanwhile, Shine gathered a strong muta army, backed up with +1 armor and a pack of scourges. The first major aerial encounter was the game breaker. + Show Spoiler +

Jeeeeeeeeeez... Shine sure likes to win the same amateur tourney every week eh? I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed seeing him being face-stomped in KSL. It's just a shame that he managed to take the spot for Larva, who would have surely blessed us with a better performance. Go Go Terror next week!!

Go Go Terror next week!! yeah, well.. i agree that it is pretty disgusting and i really never liked Shine anyways.. but if they give you (basically) free money for playing 4 to 5 games.. why not take it? it's fully rational from his perspective. It's the organizers fault for allowing professionals to play in a tournament with amateurs.

important to note that shine is a very nice guy who plays in a lot of nonkorean tournaments, and he should be distinguished from shinee, who is a big jerk who plays in a lot of nonkorean tournaments.

I wouldn't point the fingers at the organizers cos it seems to me they (or he in particular) have burdened themselves with the seemingly impossible task to create some sort of a bridge between the Korean and foreign scenes. The financial incentive alone is quite a good stimulant for the best foreigners to really push that bit harder and try to defy the gods. I think Brain is doing amazing work tbh. And of course, if they give u free money why not take it, as Shine. Plus.. he's not doing anything illegal or unethical. It's just that as they say 'if you have a plan B, plan A will never work out', and if plan B is to have fun and make a profit from his life-long commitment... cheers to him! It just makes it hard to view him as a real star.. Given this set-up... I strongly believe it's just a matter of time before the most committed foreigners improve to a level where they can regularly take games of him. As we all know Starcraft time is quite a bit faster than the regular time, so perhaps an year or two would suffice. Keep in mind - they are going up and have ambition on their side. He's going down and has reputation on his side. I might be completely wrong, but........ I don't think so :D

We get an extra prize for beating one of the koreans, i think thats fair.

I'm not a fan of Rus_Brain to say the least, but I don't really see any problem with the tournament, nor with Koreans taking the chances they can. They've spent so much time becoming as skilled as they are, so why not earn a few bucks to keep living out one's passion? Especially Shine who seems like a stellar fellow. They might even be interested in getting to know the foreign scene more, too?
It's also a fantastic opportunity for foreigners to be able to play against some of the very best players in the world. If anything, it's a great chance to get practice rarely gotten elsewhere. It's also a bonus that people are awarded for beating Koreans and such.
I do support that there should be some tournaments for foreigners only (like Let's go), but I don't see anything wrong with the format of BW Jeez Weekly, nor in Koreans taking the opportunity presented.

I wouldn't call it fair, more like throwing the scraps out there just to seem fair, but whatever ; )
good that anything is going on, because it seems that whitout the STPL and BSL the foreign scene is completely dead.. unfortunately.

"It's also a fantastic opportunity for foreigners to be able to play against some of the very best players in the world. and korean pros praying on amateur foreigners is as much distasteful as a professional boxer knocking tf out a bunchof amateurs in a tournament and getting all the money. It's disgusting to me, but it's not my money so whatever it's just really weird and sad to me to see so many dudes liking getting dunked on on a regular basis. Ooofff

Shine winning hurts me. Why is it disgusting when there is no stable pro scene? Let the kids eat. But still... how is no one beating shine. SHINE FFS

BW Jeez weekly 20 @ May 19, 2019 (Medusa) - Scan US$ 77.19.
As all other matches, the final one was played on Medusa. Ukrainian Terran spawned @ 3 and Korean Terran @ 6. + Show Spoiler +
Marwin opted for FE 2fac, and Scan for FE 1-1-1. + Show Spoiler +
First few skirmishes resulted into Scan's favor. However, it was way too premature to determine the winner. A small disadvantage in resource spent was easily covered with 2fac production. + Show Spoiler +
The first Wraith added even more score to Korean Terran. + Show Spoiler +
Undetected cloak let Scan to get a strategic position, both safely controlling Marwin's exit from the base and shooting down neutral ramp temple. + Show Spoiler +
Eventually, Marwin managed to break through securing force, but his main was being destroyed already. A good game from both. + Show Spoiler +

Dewalt opted for relatively fast DTs, and suddenly added three Gateways in the center. + Show Spoiler +
Nonetheless, this attacke failed completely. + Show Spoiler +
Leaving no chances for Protoss to survive this game. GG.

BW Jeez weekly 23 @ June 09, 2019 (Circuit Breakers) - Bonyth US$ 154.70*.
As all other matches, the final one was played on Circuit Breakers. Korean Terran spawned @ 11 and Polska Protoss @ 5. + Show Spoiler +
Neither went FE. Both played rather safe and standard strategies. + Show Spoiler +
The second CC/Nexus timing was equal. + Show Spoiler +
Bonyth tried dark drop, first two templars of which were of minor effect. The third dark templar was a bit luckier until the comsats were recharged. + Show Spoiler +
No real action followed afterward. I will only mention again equal timing of both 3rds and 4ths bases. + Show Spoiler +
Bonyth opted for both arbiter and carriers. Arbiter possibly to make Scan confused if the spot was scanned. Bonyth placed his 5th and attacked with the first 6 carriers, arbiter, and ground stuff. + Show Spoiler +
Some more skirmishes follows. + Show Spoiler +
And an elimination fight. + Show Spoiler +
Although you may think that Bonyth got less left after this elimination (according to minimap), a strong force of nine carriers helped him to make the match even pretty soon. + Show Spoiler +
And eventually ended a game in his favour. + Show Spoiler +
