He beat prime Mvp in a bo5 only to get upset by Jjakji in the next round back in the day. Talk about a tragedy. He can't let the title get away like that

Rogue is the most inconsistent player I ever seen.

Yeah. And I've watched since 2013 and foreigners have never looked better. Not only vs Korea, but in foreigner vs foreigner matches (which usually were a shitfest when foreigners were really bad.) That's why I don't believe the "level of play has dropped, foreigners are as bad as ever" narrative; it's easy to tell the difference in actual play, composure on stage, and preparation for matches.

I think Rogue might have been put off tempo from game number 1. It looked like he was trying to play around Neeb's style since the first game. Instead of going for Neeb's weakness, Rogue didn't do any damage early game and tried to go for the midgame.

Game 1 had potential if Rogue didn't decide 2 base zerg for 8 minutes was good. 2 base lair is cheesy (and IMO not actually that bad but he got super BO countered). Overlord speed is not cheesy but extremely uncommon and he also got a shitty BO matchup. The last game I would say was a BO win but he not only lost but got crushed, and his followup is EXTREMELY uncommon. Rogue played extremely weird basically every single game so there's no way you could call this a standard series. Anyway, I think people are being too hard on Rogue and people never discuss the most basic thing in sc2 which is that Rogue got a crap end of the build orders in 2 of the games he lost so ofc he didn't look too good.
