So he must give up his spot for the WCS Montreal, and take the risk of being poorly seeded for blizzcon

I thought Rogue would win 3-2. Obviously Neeb is a good player, I think a lot of us just expected Rogue to play better.

Ether way,
Neeb 3-1 Rogue
Leenock 1-3 TY

Neeb has not lost PvZ's lately at all (he did lose 0-3 to Scarlett in MC S3 but then sweeped her 4-0 in WCS NA Challenger, so 4-3 which is still a win overall in my book), so I think he got this against Rogue.

Ha, I my predictions on Neeb vs Rogue were spot on

No way, this is a free title for TY now.

LET'S GO TAE YANG

I mean, TY is probably going to win, but how can your heart not be for Leenock?!

He beat prime Mvp in a bo5 only to get upset by Jjakji in the next round. Talk about a tragedy. He can't let the title get away like that

If you want to talk about tragedy I think TY has plenty to spare

Didn't he win back to back 100k tournaments? I'm sure he's okay.

No, one was 200k

Either way, it's about the glory. And as far as heartbreaking loses go, you can take your pick.

This is gsl ro8 not a weekend tournament. Rogue's preparation outclasses that of Neeb.

Assuming that Leenock plays. Bummer that Jaedong's KSL series is at the same time as this.

Somehow I cannot stop laughing ... I guess Rogue did not try hard enough?

I said earlier, and I've said this about every Zerg Neeb's faced in GSL. The fact they did not cheese Neeb out is exactly why they lost. Rogue played right into Neeb's strength. Maybe Rogue was overconfident in his abilities against Neeb's midgame/lategame toss

Rogue played kind of "cheesy" this entire series tbh. Just not the cheese that Neeb is weak against.

Nah. Muta isn't really cheesy. Just risky. Game 1 had potential if Rogue didn't decide 2 base zerg for 8 minutes was good.

2 base lair is cheesy (and IMO not actually that bad but he got super BO countered).

Overlord speed is not cheesy but extremely uncommon and he also got a shitty BO matchup.

The last game I would say was a BO win but he not only lost but got crushed, and his followup is EXTREMELY uncommon.

Rogue played extremely weird basically every single game so there's no way you could call this a standard series. Anyway, I think people are being too hard on Rogue and people never discuss the most basic thing in sc2 which is that Rogue got a crap end of the build orders in 2 of the games he lost so ofc he didn't look too good.

No luck in stracraft, build orders don't exist. BoN results are detrimental to a player's career.

that seems more realistic, yes. I think rogue tried to pull a Dark and mentally destroy neeb in game 1 with some weird bullshit that got countered and suffered a mental setback himself

What the hell was this from Rogue? Where was his signature early game ling harass? Where was the b-ling play? Nydus? Ovie bling bombs? Swarm host harass?
He didnt show anything from his usual ZvP, he just sat there waiting to die... I just dont get it :/

prime Mvp was in 2011-2012, pretty sure TY didn't face him back then.

OT: Rogue lost to a phoenix opening, nothing else was going on and he was already considerably down in supply, if that doesn't show how bad the level shown was, I dunno what else does.

I never seen dominance play by Rogue during the last IEM Katowice which was very sharp play with pretty good vision, or perhaps during his battle against Maru in the last Ro8 GSL Season 2. I dont know if it was kind of underplay or inconsistency.

If Leenock beats TY today, and Gumiho/Stats/Zest gets into the finals, Neeb could win GSL

once you're in the ro4 everything can happen. Even if TY wins and Maru is in the finals I won't count Neeb 100% out.
