But TB as the new Manager for Axiom? I'm afraid Axiom players need to look for a new team.
The mind boggles...

I think its honestly a shame to see her go. Her approach to eSports was in many ways what was needed to direct the scene in a positive direction - and enocourage organizations to preform in a more professional manner.
People can say what they will about the incident involving the posting of conversations, but the reality is that people in any aspect of any industry often will make statements public that contain topics being desputed - or there is an incorrect understanding of a topic ie. Wikileaks articles containing information about actuality rather than media spins.
I hope she decides to come back in one form or another eventually

I'm sorry to see Genna go, although I'm sure TB can keep Axiom rolling at least half as good, and that's enough to be a successful team. Having Genna's approach to the various crises and public relations disasters was healthy and refreshing. But perhaps the scene wasn't ready for it.
I vote to have Incontrol do all the talking for absolutely everyone in the esports scene. They just submit what they want to say to him, and he'll say it out loud through a PR filter. That should solve/hide all problems for a while.
|
While I feel that much of this drama could have been avoided by both parties waiting until they were no longer angry to send messages to each other, my faith in Axiom's pro-transparency, uh axiom, remains unshaken.
I hope that Genna changes her mind at some point and returns to the team, or at least to esports as a whole. I don't think the community fully recognizes just how badly change is needed at this point in order to develop a sustainable industry.

wtf Take... Never really liked Genna's way of handling things, but I guess that's due to personal preference... But trying to sue her for something like that? That's a nice dick move :/
Good luck in the future, whatever you may choose to do!

News just in, you're a douche.

Ah this sucks... It's really sad it had to come to this.
I hope TB actually doesn't overwork himself now, lol. I suspect Genna will still be doing a lot for Axiom behind the scenes
Oh, and threatening legal action over some chat logs is fucking weak, TaKe.

And a giant hypocrite but that is just an established way of creating a brand around oneself so that's fine. Lot's of folks did it before and will keep doing it. Anyways after checking reddit - entirely hilarious that drama train but regardless the appropriate thing to say here should be get better so ...get better and hf.

Harse descision if ya ask me Jenna. Yes, i agree it wasnt nice to post that, its a breach in privacy and this is never pleasant when ur on the other side (believe me I know). But we all make certain mistakes and i feel u or gehlen stepping down will not help Take, Acer or Axiom in any way. Just all say sorry and move on
But anyways.. good luck have fun
p.s. i believe jenna is better for axiom then TB becuz she really likes the players... that love for these guys says it all. Plz stay jenna.

It's not like the guy had any basis to sue her anyway, unless he got her to sign an NDA.
If anything, it was him who broke Acer's NDA and it's him who they should be mad at. Him threatening to sue her is really just him throwing a tantrum because he didn't take proper legal measures when revealing secrets to people.

Sanctimony in stereo guys, worth a listen just for that. The one positive is he promises to take a step back from TL/reddit and twitter now so at least he might stop putting his foot in his mouth all the time. If I don't have to read retarded shit from you guys then it'll probably be the best thing that's ever happened to me. Oh and it's in mono.
And if the non-retarded folk don't have to see your retarded responses back it will be the best thing that can happen for us. Log out.

[6:51:49 AM] Dennis.Gehlen: i guess if acer gonna read this they will get mad [6:51:54 AM] Dennis.Gehlen: that you posted it online [6:51:55 AM] Dennis.Gehlen: 10 times [6:52:02 AM] Dennis.Gehlen: more than u can ever imagine [6:52:14 AM] Dennis.Gehlen: cause there you let acer look very bad
So let me get this straight:
Misc. issues cause Axiom to not be able to attend an event. Genna posts announcement. Minor (MINOR) disgruntlement from community. Genna seeks to defend herself and her team, posting private chats of her and TaKe. TaKe sees these, and realizes it could make Acer look bad, and in this money-starved business, that's the worst thing you could do. TaKe gets mad, writes angrily to Genna. Genna again posts a private conversation and calls it quits.
At the end of the day, TaKe was just paranoid about making a sponsor look bad, I don't think that's at all problematic. Yeah, the legal threats were dumb, but Genna's posting them publicily to try to crucify TaKe seems worse.

Sad to see. You'll be missed, you were a really positive and powerful force in eSports. You seemed to bring a lot of business sense to the table that many organizations are lacking (or at least don't seem to show or talk about very often).
Good luck in life! I'll still be rooting for Axiom!

GL Genna and you really deserve to have some proper fun after all you've been through! Hope you get better soon and just gotta say I have lots of respect for you and TB, even though I may not agree with everything you say nor was I a follower of your team.
Pretty disappointed with TaKe though, HSC is one of the few SC2 tournaments I actually go out of my way to watch anymore, and after this I'm not sure if I want to continue...

I find quite obnoxious that they are insulting Take who has provided the community with one of the best and most entertaining tournament s there is HSC which ran for 7 editions and made sc2 players look more human. Also take has been with sc2 from the very beggining. In terms of what the sc2 community is concerned I would much rateher prefer to have take and see the next HSCups than hear about totalbiscuit whinning and moaning all day long.
And this is another thing I disliked form the very first day about the totalbiscuit jenna-couple:the constant whinning and moaning.Everybody knows that in the esports industry you have to deal with unpleasant situations.LiquidNAzgul knows about this, alex garfield, sir scoots,day9 and countless other team owners and people involved know about this yet none of them moan and complain as much as totalbiscuit and genna.I mean literally you would think they are the only ones having issues and everyone else doesn't.Totalbiscuit is probably the only teamowner who constantly throws the 100k $ number on twitter to remind the community how much he invested.I never hear Nazgul say on twitter:"Man I invested probably a million dollars since bw in the sc scene you all should not say anything bad about me".Get over it.You are not more entitled than any other team owners who put money into the scen.If esports, and especially sc2 does not make you a profit then for gods sake move one.
I would not be surprised that in a couple of months after tb and genna decide to leave sc2 permanently they will write an essay on reddit simmilar to what destiny did when he switched to lol saying how bad sc2 is and how much the community sucks. On the long run tb will hurt the sc2 proscene more than they will help.
And the excuse about bashing is absolutely pathetic. All people in esports get ot deal with anonymus trolls. So what?Noone has quoted them as the reason for baciing off esports. And bashing Take out of all people is absolutely disgenuite.Oh and by the way Take has not taken any legal action. He might have just been upset and trolled on skype.
In conclusion:I understand that people can not make large amounts of money of sc2.But if you really wana quit the scen do not do it destiny style by throwing trash at everyhting.instead be more humble about it.Nobody blames you.
This. TB should have supported Genna more, instead he draged her down with his own personal problems. Really sad for Genna. But with an immature partner, i saw this coming many moons ago.

So good it made it on Reddit. Please allow me to detach myself of your notion of "good".
It was already a public spectacle because it's public information that a team will not fly to the ATC finals. Everything that came later was damage control.
