Day 1 The armies of Liquidia came home to jubilant crowds, and a massive parade in their honor. After all, they had just crushed the far off kingdom of GosuGamer Land, bringing home richs, slaves, and some curious artifacts. At the head of the victorious army was GMarshal, Sultan of Liquidia. His trusted legions had swept through the enemy with precision and ease, due to the help of a handy informant from the inside. Nothing could make him happier at that point, though perhaps his blasted son being present would be nice. However, In a hidden chamber tucked deep within the palace, machinations were at work. "All you must do is place your dagger into this hourglass, and the entire room will be filled with gold! Your wildest dreams will all be achieved!" whispered EchelonTee, Vizier to the Throne. "I don't know..." pondered marvellosity, Captain of the Guard, "I was trusted with this dagger as a temporary keepsake. I didn't intend to do anything with it". "Fool!" exclaimed EchelonTee. " Don't you think you deserve something for all of your hard work? All those years of toil for a thankless Sultan?" Ordinarily, marvellosity would flinch at such insults to his Sultan, but his mind was troubled with news from that his beloved wife, VisceraEyes, had become stricken with sickness. He knew that he had no time to be able to procure the funds needed for both the long journey home and the medicine needed to cure his loved one. Solemnly, marvellosity stated "I will take my cut and you will return a due amount to our Sultan." Stepping forward, marvellosity examined the ornate dagger in his hand, then in a swift motion thrust it into the hourglass's keyhole. A deep rumbling began to emanate from the hourglass, then a spectacular explosion of light burst forth! Sand billowed out of the towering device and bursted out of the chamber's windows. Shocked, marvellosity ran to the nearest window and witnessed the plague he had unleashed. The gliterring sand swept through the streets of Liqudia and, to his sheer horror, consumed the entire populace. Their horrible screams were soon replaced with hollow moans as they transformed into monstrous beasts! Cackling with glee, EchelonTee exclaimed "You have ruined your own city! Soon, through the power of the Sands of Time, I will be immortal! Hand me that dagger and I will make your death swift." Siezed with bitter regret, disgust, but most of all indignant anger, marvellosity wordlessly tossed the Dagger of Time out of the window. "No! You fool, that is the key to my ultimate victory! Now I will have to comb the city for that blasted dagger!" shouted EchelonTee, seething with fury. Marvellosity reached for his sword and responded "Die, scum." Bellowing a carnal battle cry, he charged forth for his final battle. The few survivors of the catastrophe collected themselves and made their way to the chamber holding the hourglasss. Inside, they found the charred remains of marvellosity, a proud warrior until the end. Spying the corpse of the Vizier nearby, one of the survivors approached his body intending to spit on it. Turning over the corpse, EchelonTee's body suddenly disappeared into thin air! "What trickery is this!" exclaimed the guard. "The vizier's magic is powerful; he has created this form as a double." Baffled by the terrible events occuring, the ragtag group of survivors murmured amongst themselves: "How did this happen?" "What did we do to deserve this?" "What if the Vizier is disguised amongst us?" "What will we do with our Sultan dead?" "Is it even possible for us to retake our empire?" With the heavy knowledge that the Vizier, or other lurking threats could be hidden in their ranks, the group set forth into the city intent to defeat the enemies lurking both outside, and within. GMarshal, Sultan of Liquidia has been turned into a terrible monster! marvellosity, Captain of the Guard died a noble death! EchelonTee, Body-Double of the Vizier vanished into thin air! VisceraEyes, Wife of marvellosity is still sick at home! The battle to re-take Liquidia has begun! You have approximately 46 hours to vote. Voting will end Sunday, Jun 10 11:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00) This game follows Extended Majority Lynch. In order for a player to be lynched, they must reach majority before the deadline, or else a no lynch will take place. Majority is # of Players Alive/2, rounded up. PM me or marv for Observer QT

Anyway, I'm glad to see some friendly faces, and I'm glad to have the opportunity to again hunt scum. I have one piece of advice which I hope will be helpful and also get the discussion going. Go after your reads strongly, but do not tunnel. Constantly take the temperature of the thread, consider outside input, and don't spend all your time arguing with one target. The back and forth quickly turns into OMGUS, and makes both you and your target look bad. Make your case, read the defense, and then look for that outside input.

you know it was coming I think tunneling is fine as long as it is within reason, and that at the end of the day, tunneling is not the sole basis of your vote.

Tunneling is a slippery slope. While you are doing it, you can go past the point of 'within reason' and not even know it. All I'm urging is caution. A case is can quickly be ruined, the cogent points buried, by bickering and arguing with your target. And yea, everyone needs to un-shut-up. It's my sock he is using, and it's hella dirty.
