On the blue claims - grush's fakeclaim turned out good for town, but i don't think it was a good play. It became a good play because KtheZ counterclaimed and a real DT still existed. grush was already heavily suspicious, so the correct play for KtheZ I think would have been to try to argue your way out of the situation without counterclaiming. Lazer - you could probably have worked out grush was town. It's a silly play for town, but it's INSANE for mafia. And then think, if you were a vanilla townie and you were fake-accused by a DT (think - there are no millers, you know you are townie, therefore the claim MUST be fake) would you counterclaim to clear yourself? Almost 100% the answer is no you would not, you would know the guy is lying and argue about that. Therefore once the counterclaim in you knew who the 2 scum were. However you presented your case well in the end (although you mislynched first). The check on Vivax night 1 was of course excellent. I can't remember who said it day 1, but they said Vivax wasn't playing like he played as town last game, and they were absolutely correct. So great check. In this regard both mafia suffered from playing scummily. Vivax got caught by Lazer, and although grush's claim was nuts, he effectively claimed because he was sure KtheZ was scum from his play too. Another point of amusement was the town medic and DT going at each other day 1. Unfortunate but funny. Edit: to ha236 - if you're being mercilessly tunneled, at some point you need to just ignore it and go about your own business of scumhunting. Your whole game was spent in an argument with Release. It will probably be very hard to convince him that you're town, but if you do some nice scumhunting then the rest of town will start to see you as townie, which is what matters. As the game went it didn't matter in the end, but you could easily have turned into an easy mislynch for scum. Don't take this too harshly, it's very hard not to react how you did. I was tunneled similarly in LIII by BlazingHand and we got into several very heated (and less polite!) exchanges as well. But in the end I managed to make my play pro-town enough that town was ignoring him and he had to drop it. | ||

I'm pretty pumped town won this game. I want to congratulate the townies and say gg to everyone. I was doing backflips with all the claims and counter-claims. KtheZ's gambit was certainly a ballsy move...grush57 too. KtheZ, can you walk me through your reasoning with that claim? Also, can we get the mafia QT please? | ||

You guys didn't understand what i was doing night 2. I played like shit to survive. Was there a DT? Ofc. Therefore it would make sense to have someone get RBed. I doubt this obvious statement, and Kthez points out i'm playing badly. I make an extremely obvious "dont wory kthez" so kthez will spare my life. Also, as i was posting that big bullshit thing against ha236, i confirmed my suspicions that he was town (I was never planning to lynch both Grush and Ha) and i was trying to elicit a response from Kthez, ShiaoPi, and Vivax. Kthez was too complacent with my case against ha, which confirmed that LM was indeed the DT (from his breadcrumb) earlier, and he was scum. ShiaoPi and Vivax both stayed pretty silent so i had no idea who was the other scum. I was honestly a little disappointed that LM made a poor case against Vivax and got myself into this WIFOM about who he checked last : "he makes a poor case against vivax which will get shut down, so i guess he is hinting at Shiaopi, BUT maybe he is just doing the obvious thing and making a case against the person who he checked." I can see how my day2 and particularly night 2 caused a lot of confusion though. | ||

Also, counter-claiming a claimed blue is very risky as scum, since unless town is at LYLO they might just lynch both of you. Also, fake-claiming blue is very risky as town, since the real DT could counter-claim you and both of you might get lynched... | ||

grush claimed DT against me, and I thought he really was DT, so I resigned myself to death and counterclaimed, hoping to get grush the DT lynched and then I would be lynched the next day, but it would pave the path for vivax to screw with town. Basically I had to make a quick decision so I chose to claim DT since I was fucked in my opinion. Course, when grush appeared to rescind and flipped townie, we scum got our panties in a knot and had to make sure we shot whoever was NOT dt. I was sure that the DT would claim at night, and we tried to NOT hit the dt so I could push a lynch on him the next day. Course the DT claimed but we didnt have enough time to switch our vote, because he posted in the last minute (which is quite a gimmick in my opinion). Basically in almost all scenarios I was screwed unless Grush was town claiming to be DT, which to me seemed pretty improbable | ||
