...And so quickly does midnight come again, and here I am listening to coast to coast AM. I discovered it one night while bored, searching the AM airwaves when I was a kid. Ghost stories, UFO sightings, Conspiracies: the subject matter was all too adrenal for an 8 year old who should really be sleeping. I used to love listening to this at night and hide under my blankets, too scared to even turn off the radio. Ah, those Friday night open lines, you can expect to hear just about anything, and most often some pretty good ghost stories. The show gave me a sense of intimacy, like a voice keeping me company through the night. Time for a glass of gin to bring me back to warmth. God I love Coast to Coast AM. I'm a big skeptic, but at the same time it's so interesting to hear about all the crazy things people believe. Though, I absolutely cannot stand when they bring on the people with the new age medical cures as most of those people are really just taking advantage of sick and desperate people. But I love the UFO investigators, ghost people, etc. And open lines is sooo good. George Noory doesn't inspire the same level of completely off the planet type of calls that Art Bell did, but it's still really entertaining. My allergies sometimes give me problems sleeping at night, and Coast to Coast is always there I remember the first time I really listened to Coast to Coast, many years ago. I'd never listened, but knew of it and was really curious. The first time I listened, it was open lines and some woman was telling the story of how she was in a grocery store and suddenly absolutely everyone else in the store froze in place, completely still and unmoving. She went up to the checkout counter, and there was this woman and her child checking out with the checkout person not even looking at them. They allegedly looked really strange with big eyes and weird skin. Apparently she concluded they were hybrids. They finished checking out, left the store and everyone resumed as if nothing had happened. It wasn't the story so much as the conviction with which she told the story that absolutely enthralled me, and creeped me out a bit. Been hooked ever since.

It's only warriors because I make 1 warrior at each town that is within my territory (that is, expanding inwards) and then move the spearman/rifleman/whatever to the next city. But, LOOK AT HOW MANY CITIES I HAVE. TURNS TAKE 20 MINUTES URGHHH.

Civ 2 is still the best imo; It was revolutionary. Although 3 is still good. The latter ones, not a big fan.
