Scarlett joins Eclypsia - Page 32

Complaints about moderation and freedom of speech are for the website feedback forums. They will be treated as being off topic and dealt with appropriately. No more Iron Lady talk, no more gender debate. This is a thread about a StarCraft player. Last I checked what's in between your legs has no impact on how you play the game. I agree with some of the comments here that the moderation on this thread has been dreadful. It's way too soft. I have gone ahead and simply deleted a bunch of comments that fail TL's community standards. Yes, those standards are determined by the mods. Yes, those standards are not perfect nor even uniformly applied. But we try our best. Spare us your righteous indignation over any notional impairment of free speech. This is a private site. It's a club. There is no "right" to free speech here. We only tolerate quality speech. By who's standards? Ours. Go read the TL Ten Commandments. And if you don't like this policy or our way of running our house, leave. - mensrea

I'm glad she chose to pick a smaller less known team, she will most likely be the ace (can't say Artist has ever beaten demuslim/bumblebee or taken a game of Oz) so she'll be played a lot more often. Smart move.

Just me raging at progamers in a prohouse literally having no results. Grats to Scarlett on joining Eclypsia, I sincerely hope more lesser known NA players get their shot as well in the future.

... Ladder means absolutely nothing. Losira has an amazing record on ladder but hasnt been able to even get into the GSL for a while.

As for Eclypsia, it's a good pick up for them. Their most famous members at least stateside are DesRow who's more famous for drama than accomplishments, and Welmu/Artist who are damned good players but haven't really done much recently, so this is a really good thing for the team in terms of both publicity and skill.

I have no way of knowing but if she was harassed through Twitter to the point of closing her account, that's a seriously huge blow. Imagine you finally have your chance at being a pro-gamer, or at the very least joining the competitive community....and having nameless jerks like the ones in this thread only talk about you like you are an object and not a human being. Doesn't anyone think before they type what's on their mind? She simply renamed it ECScarlett to match her new teamname.

When I hear Scarlett I think of the player and nothing else. I don't care about her life outside of starcraft2 and I think others should do it the same way.

We are still trying to get our name out there, so players that attract more fans will given spots over perhaps better players. If skill and talent were prioritized, then every team in the world would be comprised of Koreans.
