We are currently talking about this issue in the mod forum. We take this issue very seriously, and want to find the best way to serve those who want faster results, and those that don't wish to be spoiled.
iam pretty sure TL has done really good at giveing us news without spoiling it. results dont have to be in title for there to be hype.
I find knowing the results as news for hype is odd. watching the games and not knowing gives me way more hype.
id rather not know the results before watching. even knowing how long the match is can spoil a match for me.
Edit: might as well tell me the ending to every movie I havnt watched.... you can talk about a match being great without spoiling it.same thing as a movie.
I have been pretty busy in the last few weeks and didn't really have time to watch any starcraft at all. I came here a few times and the only thing I heard about was the Naniwa scandal, I had to dig to find about Blizzard cup and last few tournaments winners. That's the issue I was trying to assess in the OP: it's hard to keep interest in casual viewers and acquire new ones if we are so protective about tournament results. We have to spread the amazing moments of victories and make sure everyone that is even mildy interested about starcraft know about how awesome they were.
I dislike how the GSL Blizzard Cup winner was not plastered all over TL. There should be a spoiler free page, but there should also be one for those who have seen the games they want to.

Too bad majority doesn't rule, team liquid's staff does

Again, tournament spoilers in news/frontpage is fine. Problem is when someone spoils it in the FORUMS, again if it's on the NEWS SECTION then there is no problem.
Actually, maaaaaybe a trigger could be added to the site (like language-switcher), that turns on/off spoilers on the main page. IMO, though, ones who hate spoilers should just sit in an underground bunker till they watch the stuff the don't want to be spoilered, cause no matter how hard community tries, from time to time some 5-post jerks spoil anyways :/
Also, in a way, u guys spoil the fun of passionately discussing just-passed events :/ That's selfish!

I'll just be hoping some good competition comes along for TL. Monopolies are never good. Was there more competition, for sure they wouldn't be doing this.
OR it could be that we are, and have been, talking about this issue as a staff for some time. Perhaps we will even arrive at a decision in the near future! It would be nice if people would take a step back from their keyboard rage and take in the broader perspective sometimes.
I'll even put a message at the top of this thread so that people like you don't have an excuse to press post in this thread again.

Would it be possible to have staff members update a feed of recent tourney results that could appear on the front page or right sidebar that is only enabled with a certain profile option? Users could choose options for which kinds of tournaments they do/don't want to see, how long in the past they want to see (BW or SC2, MLG or NASL or GSL, etc.), if there's a delay or not, so on--perhaps as an extension of what already is posted on Liquipedia
If in the futur, TL is showing GSL result just after the match, on the front page, i'm never coming back on TL.
There's no way I can watch GSL match live... It's at 7am in the morning here, when i'm at work. And I don't have any fun watching a game when I know the outcome.

I'm not sure if it will be that exactly, but the best solution is a toggleable one, I agree. How that looks is up to smarter people than me.

Toggable? So maybe its easier for everyone just to spoiler it for a few days or so. Then after that TL headlines it
Spoilers suck when you stumble onto them accidentally, but on a site such as this, tournament results are pretty much expected. It would be nonsensical to have to avoid covering things properly just to protect a few viewers.
Problem is easily solved, on the front page there is a "News Spoiler Filter" where you can hit a little button and it will unlock all content that is flagged as "spoilered". If you haven't watched the big match yet cause you live halfway across the world, you simply just hit the "Spoiler'd Browsing" tab and you are back in lala land!!!
Really easy fix, I didn't go through 57 pages but I assumed that you guys would have thought of this already (I am constantly surprised by how clever you TLers are )
imo if you dont want to be spoiled, dont go to news sites watch the games first, then go the sites, so ppl who actually wanna see the news can watch it
