We are currently talking about this issue in the mod forum. We take this issue very seriously, and want to find the best way to serve those who want faster results, and those that don't wish to be spoiled.

I dont really see how there is a problem getting very fast results right now.

Then go to GOMTV to watch the vods instead of TL. Pretty simple. I actually come to TL to read reviews and wrap ups of GSLs. I come to see if MC made it out, if Idra beat MVP and Nestea, thats what I want. I guess its personal preference really, i find the game just as enjoyable even when I know the results.

Why can't news on the front page just say the tournament is done without spoiling the results, and then people who want to know the result can just not click it. That way tournaments don't end in silence, but you still prevent a constant spoiler fear every time you enter tl.

Feels like I've seen this spoiler debate 5 million times in other sport communities.

With bigger sports you can't even watch the news on tv without the risk of getting "spoiled" and <insert other ways of getting results spoiled here>. Most people are fine with that.

If I look at myself, who would I blame if I got starcraft results spoiled by reading starcraft sites or a starcraft discussion forums before I watched the vods?

A common argument for not trying to spoil results is that it doesn't hurt to keep the site spoiler free, but I'm not sure that it correct. And that is probably what should be discussed.

I agree with the "tournaments end in silence" sentiment. Where the wrap-up story on the front page, wheres the interview with the winner? You have to be looking for results and I think it would benefit everyone if there was atleast coverage on front page with no spoilers ala the GSL previews/reviews.

Personally I always thought it was annoying for people to request not being spoiled results. You don't see this in any other sport. I also never cared to know the results. Often times I actually check the results before looking at the games. It actually makes it more interesting.

This isn't what is hurting eSports. The lack of organization does; right now this eSport is equivalent to tennis, if we want to be mega-popular we need to conform to a football/ American football model leagues/teams/championships/points...all of these add to drama. Right now we have no reason to talk about the previous tournament until the next one comes about because it doesn't affect the outcome of the next tournament. Plus, a championship tournament never really gives you the best player it gives you the best player/team that day so there's countless hours of "NO MY TEAM IS BETTER" talk that occurs that drives the interest in the sport way up.

P.S. just look at ESPN conversation boards if you want an idea of how TL.net would be without mods lol. Keep doing your job guys, you're making us look good.

TL;DR: eSports needs to unite under a common banner to help further the sport. Then sites like an ESPN can cover events without the fear of spoilers!!!!!
