Without bw's legacy there would be nothing. No day[9], no tasteless or artosis, no countless tournies during beta, no money being blindly thrown into "Esports"... There would be no Nesteas, no MVPs, no MCs to look up to. No "Starleagues", no gomtv, no teamliquid... Sometimes I feel like many people here don't appreciate that. Even the "SC2 community" is just an amalgam of other RTS communities with a few new randoms sprinkled in. SC2 is not responsible for any of this. The vast majority of SC2 strategy and gameplay mechanics are a mere subset of the real Starcraft. One day I hope people will get a grip and realize that an inferior game came along and nudged a masterpiece into obscurity.
