I agree. Like in Broodwar (not that this game has anything to do with it), terrans just learned ways to win even though there were nerfs, buffs, etc. It did not matter from a true terran's perspective!

is it just me or does the game always seem the most balanced when terrans QQ? I mean, at the beginning zerg was really struggling and terrans were even reluctant to admit the horribly OP reaper harass. Then it came the huge protoss downfall and terrans just told us to L2P.
If we look at recent tournaments, racial balance has hardly ever been as great as it is now.

My two cents on the table, I think people get frusterated with Terran when they game goes past 20 minutes because Terran is less forgiving than say protoss. So they switch to a new race. Again that is my opinion.
I've to say, i am high Master Protoss at EU, and i freakn LOOOOOOVE to play Protoss, i also was Protoss at a decent lvl in Broodwar - but however, in my honest opinion, Terran and Zerg is so much easier to play in SC2, thanks to the advantage that you can macro during big fights while you have to keep an eye on your army as Protoss and Storm / Feedback / ForceField and Blinkmicro, where you normally have to macro, builing zealot/dt/stalker/ht and build whatever robounits or stargateunits AND chronoboost them.
I am not saying that Zerg or Terran needs no skill, i am just saying that Terran and Zerg are more macro-friendly than Protoss.

Lol? Terrans told toss to Learn different styles of play. Not continue doing what you do every game. But it does not matter because QQ toss got what they wanted. (Hence I switched to toss because it is very easy, I just rofl stomp terrans all day).

I hope this works. Mech will NEVER be playable in TvP, because every mech ground unit is simply hardcountered by Immortals. and mech/air is at the moment to gas intensive and will be in the future! The Warhound will be a pure Mutalisk counter, cause guess what: We already have a unit that has a decent range and high dmg against mech units, since nearly every Mech Unit in the game is armored. So don't expect too much out of HotS right now, because on the facts given at this point of time, there won't be a big difference, how terran will be played in HotS!
You make some good points. About mech working in TvP at HotS: I'm actually more hoping than being certain of. But you gotta agree with me that if Blizzard is adding 3 new mech units (battle hellion, warhound and shredder) and 0 bio units they are trying to make mech viable. If they will succeed at it is a whole different story.

Oh come on sleeping every one and their grandma knew that reapers were bullshit and the same goes for 30 sec warpgate research or 60 cant remember. The factory thing may have been a bit extreme but still something needed done about that shit. Though that was fun as hell fucking all those Zergs and Toss with speed reapers. BTW Terrans arent QQing more of a validation of having troubles eh I mean QQ is WTF zealots only 100 min jesus soooo op AJSFBNLAASDF bullshit this is more of a conversation than anything.

When I was home over break it felt like every match I played (as Z) was against other Zergs or Toss. I'm tempted to try out another race or maybe just go full random for season 5, though I have to finish my finals first T.T

except for the zergtears (superfast techswitch in ZvP *cough*) i fullheartedly agree with you. this thread has so many posts where people blame their race for their own mistakes, instead of talking on topic people name facts why they think their race is underpowered. there's nothing a player can't overcome since the skill ceiling lies above utopia

Either trolling or just a friendly conversation on a forum about some recent troubles with the meta game? Either way this has been a fun forum but work calls and I'm off cya all on the ladder. =]

This is why I hate sc2ranks. I am counted as Terran in part of those statistics but I have 2 wins and a total of 6 games played. In terms of ACTiVE players playing Terran, it is much smaller than that.
Still Protoss and Zerg come in this thread to insult Terran players. I hope you enjoy playing against each other and mirror matches because at his rate, that is all you will get.

lol.. There never was a huge protoss downfall. Protoss has been on top of the game since forever and only now toss are showing some weakness in PvZ. Protoss had trouble in the GSL for a brief period but was still dominating everything outside of Korea. HuK and NaNiwa both pulled out convincing tournament victories before the latest round of terran nerfs/protoss buffs. Most terrans outside of the top korean pros have been having extreme difficulty in the TvP matchup even during the supposed "protoss downfall". But the average protoss player was too content with simply pointing to GSL race distribution and crying IMBA terran while they practically get free ladder points all day because TvP is so convoluted and difficult.

Let thy marine tears fall onto thyself. Six months ago terran was raping protoss with the same fckin build all day and finally protoss's figure out how to counter the mmm ball. Most terrans have not changed their build at all in this match up from the first season... Blue flamed hellions are amazing vs's zealots and no one uses them lol. Drops are still amazing in this match up and all of a sudden terrans are not mass dropping anymore, Why?... i have no fckin idea.

i used to play terran but i switched and i realized that i am far better with both other races i was in low dia with terran then got to middle-ish master witin 1 month playing protoss and now im also about that level with zerg
