+ Show Spoiler +The map bans makes perfect sense, I just wish that SKT1 didn't ban Icarus cus it had many good games on it, despite the imbalance
It makes sense though, Stats and Flash often play the map along with Action, which makes it near impossible to predict for n

Fear SKT. The team is overall so strong this time around. No easy victory for KT this year! But seriously, this is the best of 3 BO7s right?

Man, am I the only one not liking this format? I mean, you have the quarterfinals and semifinals as 3 sets of BO7s and for the GRAND FINAL, you have one?

It's supposed to increase the excitement. There's more pressure when it's all one big event. Also, you don't want people booking plane tickets to China for the 3rd night and then one of the teams wins 2-0, lol.
But yeah, it's kind of unfortunate in that we don't get as many games :/

It is weird, but it adds a level of excitement that only happens if the Bo3 goes all of the way. But more importantly, it's not possible to book a beach for three different days, and one day on the beach is definitely better than a 3 day match in the studio.
They could do a Bo3 Bo7 on the beach in one day, but that would be so much starcraft.

Yah I see the point there. I guess it's true, but I'd still like 3 sets if the finals were held in Korea... much more content

Well, if that worst case scenario happens, he is still only practicing half of his original 12 hours a day.
I kind of want to see this now, just once. 21 games (max) with a 30 minute average run time is an 11 hour block. That's not THAT bad, and they could use the extra add revenue to help compensate for feeding the crowd at some point like they do at the all star game.
Or maybe the do something creative, like have both teams split their rosters into two teams, then have two simultanious Bo5s, and then if tied it moves on to a best of 7 for the championship.
Or maybe like a winners leauge, but first to 7 instead of 4, and you have the option to take back your player if they won, and use them later. '
C'mon, think outside the box on this one.
Edit: One more. Winner of the first set gets one point, winner of second gets 2 points...Seven sets total, teams with the most points at the end wins, no repeating players in any of the sets.

well KT has proven in recent playoffs that their opponents will somehow underperform..(just look at horang2 and movie's stats prior to playoffs)..i wonder if the same will happen to SKT.
We just have to wait and see :D

Hmm wow, KT has insane momentum going into this and I'm scared for SKT. I am really hoping Fantasy will be in form, and bisu can beat either stats or Flash (revenge)

Bisu > Stats or Flash is not likely because of two reasons:
1) Gameplay--Flash's TvP and Stats' PvP are both pretty good, and Stats seems to have Bisu's number in PvPs (remember their game on Bloody Ridge? Both got into late game pretty even but then Stats proceeded to kill Bisu's maxed army over and over again with much better positioning and micro, which should have been Bisu's strong suit).
2) Coaching--I doubt SKT's coaches will be that retarded to send Bisu looking for Flash or Stats. If anything, Bisu will be sent out on a Z-favored map (like Alternative) to snipe down Action, and then be reserved for Ace (if it comes down to it).
Although I am looking forward to Flash and Stats playing Bisu as well, for different reasons

We just have to wait and see :D To be fair though, CJ, Stars, and Khan are teams that have some sort of obligation to fail in the largest of stages. This isn't the first time all of those teams choked.

Surely it's their fault for choking and not KT's fault for stepping up.
I remember you singing a very, very different tune when those same teams lost to SKT last year.
