Money Main: 8 mineral, 2 gas Natural: 7 mineral, 2gas 3rd: 5 mineral, 1 gas 4th: 6 mineral, 2 gas
Concept your main base is on low ground up in the corners then a ramp leads up to ur natural at high ground. the natural is attached to this long huge high ground area with 3 ramps out. 2 of them which leads out to the top down right left expoes and 1 large which leads out to the middle. ur 3rd base is low on money but kinda easy to defend, its located on the high ground between the large ramp and the farthest ramp from ur natural.
the middle is open and unbuildable on the tiles.
pretty straight forward macro oriented map with many flanking areas and strategical positions to cover to secure expansions.
Personal notes remake of the original sc1 map byzantium. that map was awesome for sc1 and it can probably have high potential in sc2.

I really hope it wont be a trend/standard to cut minerals down on expansions. Other than that it looks interesting. The middle will get the most OMFG posts but meh it is just a shape.

warning: im super selfconfident in my following advise. dont take me too serious if you feel offended.
the concept looks good, as expected from an ex-pro-ish map.
what i noticed: -the 3rd (islandish expo) looks harder to hold than on the original. try to change the chokes. or you cant take it unless you have full map control.
- it looks super hasty done. how long did you work on it? a day? *those plants and stuff look distracting and misplaced to me. *texturing could use some improvement too looks like 'ill have the base textur, put some other texture over it and then use blur abit.
- the brushes seem somewhat unfamiliar when compared to the original. you just copied the rough concept. that can possibly work, but its very likely that it turns out worse than it could be if you put more time into it. *it makes a huge difference if you place a cliff 2 squares further or closer, or what the shape is, think of unit ranges
- the descenting mineral patches is a bad thing imo. us spectators want to see fast paced action on multiple spots at best. low ressource bases do not contribute to this. expos shouldnt have less than 7 patches
- about the nazi symbol thing, just give a damn. its fine. as long its nothing illegal you can put on your map whatever you want. also picture-google 'peacoat', wich have been very popular lately, as far i know, and then 'SS uniform'. notice something? spoiler: design copied.

1) put more time into your map.
altough its not the most important, you want to make it somewhat appealing. it shouldnt be confusing and distracting. clean layout, environment placed at the right points. always take a look at the map and ask yourself: would i like to play on it? is it ok to assume other would like to play on it?
2) think about it.
think about all possibilities for everything you do, could do, or not do. then think wich of these in what combination would be fun to play and more important fun to watch. the result is the concept of a high level melee map.

yes, i didnt take long time into this map, mind you its the very first version of it im a competitive gamer and i know that 1 square here or there can be huge
id very much like to play at this map, as u can see all the decoration is mostly towards the edges of cliffs. if u dont have much decoration around the cliffs its hard to even see them
i like the textures and the looks of it, its just a simple personal opinion u have right there so no i wont change the textures because they are just fine. overall kept it darker towards the edges so players have easier time seeing where the edges come. if i got time to spend on this less important things such as textures then sure i might do that but dont think my map got worse textures than most maps out there, its better than most in fact
much of the trees etc on the cliff sides r just there to give the players a clear idea of what is walkable and not, if u simply remove this and it looks empty they come with their dropship and finds out they cant drop on the cliff edges
about the minerals. u simply cant come here in beta phase and tell mapmakers how many minerals each expansion should have. as a gamer i know that players lack gas in overall. just because dustin browder likes to put 8 minerals on every single base he makes doesnt mean hes right
i think your very off on most things you said but i agree the 4th bases are harder to defend here , it does look different. i will try to change this in the next update
