I cannot find the OP-recommended 'Ducky 9008G2 ABS Keycaps' on Amazon UK, which will most likely be the place I buy this from. Any other suggestions? My budget is ideally about £80-90, but I'm not against £100 if it's a really good deal. Is there a keyboard out-there, available in Germany, that feels similar typing on it but with better quality. Max price is about ~150Euro. Thanks in adance! Nothing wrong with a Das, some dont like the shiny case because its a fingerprint magnet.

TK is ok, not the highest quality and it has an interesting layout. But getting backlighting for that price is amazing.

Filco is super solid but very expensive. Have a look for a quickfire rapid, virtually the same keyboard but rebadged. Only downside is the font.

just recieved the quickfire rapid with mx red.. not sure how i feel about it. its really different but i like that it doesnt have any shiny shit and i probably am getting used to it. first sc2 game with it feeled weird thou, missed a lot of keys cuz my last keyboard was a compact one which was really small O.o

Took maybe a week to get used to mine, love it now.

Why do the Korean often use keyboards that aren´t famous? I think Ducky isnt that famous but still known in EU/Non Korean Country ^^ All in EU use Ducky,Roccat, Unknown ... or Razer Blackwiddow ^^ and maybe some filcos. Why arent mechanicle keyboard so famous in EU/Non Korean Country?

Because I couldn't find a Leopold FC700R elsewhere than Australia (even if I may have a plan !!!) I'm thinking to buy either a CM storm quickfire (so tenkeyless) brown or a Filco Majestouch-2 tenkeyless brown.
Does the increase of price for filco is worthy ?

Had a really bad time ordering from Gmarket, and I'm yet to be refunded for my purchase.

Was it specifically an FC700R, or some other product from Leopold? I had no issues with my order.

Hope I can get some advice here on a good mechanical keyboard for me (or alteration of my current setup).
I currently use a Razer Tarantula: + Show Spoiler +
I bought a CM Storm QuickFire Pro (brown): + Show Spoiler +
I'm really liking the feel of typing on mechanical keyboard. I'm both a programmer and a gamer so I spend a lot of time with my keyboard. My biggest problem with the new keyboard is how thick and tall it is. If you look at the tarantula, it has a really nice, huge wrist rest. I didn't realize how much I liked that until I got this new keyboard. In fact, I need it with how much I type during the day.
So my question is - should I stick with this new CM Storm QFP and get something like a Grifiti Wrist Pad or should I give this to my fiance (who doesn't use the comp enough for the lack of wrist guard to matter, and she loves this thing) and get a different keyboard that has a wrist rest (like maybe the logitech 710+?? though I cannot find one with brown atm). Anyone with a similar experience have any suggestions? As a note, my friend has a razer blackwidow that I've tried and the wrist rest is not large enough to solve my problem.
*edit* I've ordered a grifiti wrist pad to try out in the meantime but am still interested in thoughts about other keyboards from people who have had this same problem.

It does. The QFR is based on the Filco. The Filco has a much higher quality PCB & probably controller as well... and great customer service. If you dont have a problem with the price I would go for that. I had to warranty my QFR due to the lower quality build/PCB. The replacement is working fine so far, only been a couple weeks.

Its a common trend to not supply a wrist wrest it seems... you can always get something like this: http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=91
Or team Axiom's sponsor; WASD keyboards has the option for a clip-on wrist rest: http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/products/mechanical-keyboard.html
WASD even offers to sell you a "bare bones" keyboard with no keycaps if you prefer higher quality ones. Theirs are great for their customization though. Also, I will warn you they have more awesome things coming, if you look at their blog section.

Im not sure I would recommend a Das with the new manufacturing. Perhaps try to get a Filco with MX Blues, or even something like a Cherry G80-3000. Im not sure your options for ordering...

Thanks for the info.
The ducky pad looks interesting though $37 for a wrist rest seems a bit much. If everyone was recommending it or something, maybe... otherwise, I don't know how it's better than a $10 wrist rest I can get anywhere else, so the price is a factor there.
I looked into WASD stuff before I bought the CM Storm keyboard but all I see is a lot of "out of stock" options and a "keyboard designer" form that doesn't seem to have options to design a keyboard available. Also, on the page you linked, I do not see any options for clip-on wrist sets. I'm sure they're there, but I don't see them.
As an update, the logitech 710+ is looking really good now, especially with the noise dampening rings (would be nice because my tarantula is super silent and I'm always awake way past my fiance) but also there's a roccat mechanical keyboard that looks good for me, but I'm really reluctant to buy without some reliable reviews.

I'm also curious as to whether I'll need a wrist rest for the Filco majestouch2 that I bought in the end. Will wait to give it a try before purchasing one though.

Hey, Do you think a good keyboard is important and is the diffrence between a Ducky Shin2 and a Razer BlackWiddow Ultimate 2013 important too?Or the diffrence between Rubberdome and Mechanicle Keyboard?I often hear that your stuff isn´t important but why do the Pro´s use them?
