EPTSome of you may remember me. A few years ago (that was before the Remastered was released), I documented my journey from being a complete noob to reaching a decent C+ level on the good old Iccup.
Unfortunately, law school and my legal practice gradually left me with no free time at all to play, apart from a quick game now and then, from my own law firm in Bordeaux (France).
Now owning a few businesses and about to get married, I recently realised, with some nostalgia, that I may never be able to play again. Except, I hope, with my children: to pass on to them one of the greatest passions of my life.
The latest ASL, full of incredible stories (Jaedong, in incredible form and his latest victory over Flash; the controversies of the final against the young genius Soma; the brilliance of Leta and his Wraith micro, etc.) made me want to bid a proper farewell to our Beloved Starcraft Brood War.
So here are a few videos of my final games (in TvZ and TvP). The format is simple: epic or harsh defeats first, followed by a few micro highlights and key moments, and, finally, some victories, hard-won through sheer determination, from my "Citizen Avocats" offices (hence my nickname CitizenFilco) after work.
In the end, the noob I once was has become a decent player (C/B on the ladder, with an MMR around 1700).
My strength has always been micro and multi-tasking; but my greatest weakness has been understanding build orders and the meta.
I’ll always cherish wonderful memories of this game. I’d like to thank you all for keeping the flame burning bright!
