Oh, those look like newegg prices, products, and product descriptions. You're in the US?
There exist many PCIe sound cards these days btw (not to mention USB and even FireWire), but I agree about the usage. It's most likely not needed if you're asking about it.
The most important thing is to not get a Vertex 2 in my opinion. $110 on a last-generation, unreliable SSD is not a good idea. Something like Samsung 830, Crucial M4, Intel 330, etc. will not be much more expensive.

If you'd rather have Antec customer support—mostly in the rare case of needing to RMA—I guess that's worth something? The Capstone is a lot better though. + Show Spoiler [links] +
Hi, I was very pleased with the help i got from here a few months ago for building a new pc. I'm now gonna build a secondary one, since i won a inwin maelstorm case.
What is your budget?
Around €1,500. But i've won a inwin maelstorm case, so i would like to use it.
What is your resolution?
A new monitor is needed, the higher the better i guess? A good sized monitor for gaming.
What are you using it for?
Gaming, no streaming. All types of games. Mostly SC2, Diablo3.
What is your upgrade cycle?
No upgrading planned. Probably 2y orso before i buy new one.
When do you plan on building it?
Now
Do you plan on overclocking?
No
Do you need an Operating System?
yes
Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire?
no idea
Where are you buying your parts from?
alternate.nl, hardwareversand.de or other firms that deliver to belgium
DOTA 2 / SC 2 / NBA 2K12 mostly..as high settings as possible
Hoping to run games like Max Payne 3 at a decent level too
What is your upgrade cycle?
Expecting to buy a completely new higher end rig in 1-2 years. I'm using an Asus G50vt-x5 laptop right now thats Core 2 duo p7xxx 2.13ghz with a geforce 9800M GS which is kind of dying for me after 4 years so I need a quick fix
When do you plan on building it?
Immediately

Wherever it is the cheapest I suppose. I live in Canada so I guess Tigerdirect/canada computers/ncix/newegg.ca ?

I5-3550 with h67 motherboard hd6870/6850/6770/gtx460/560 at that resolution cheapest 8gb ram kit at 1.5v for case cooler master HAF 912 antec neo eco / earthwatts green / corsair CX / OCZ ZT series for psu (whatever is cheap and good) if you cant an SSD get either, Crucial M4, plextor m3, intel or samsung 830
I wouldn't get such an expensive case either... you can easily save $100-125 on that selection and get a (much) nicer GPU like a 670. Of course, if it's for SC2 only, 560ti 448 is way more than enough already.
Hello, what case would your recommend that could save me 100-125 usd? As for myself, the only brand I know is coolermaster ):
Also, I will change my SSD- thanks for everyone's help!

Cooler Master HAF 912 or if you want USB3.0 on the front panel Corsair 300R.
I want to run diablo 3 on my computer, and I don't think that I have the proper video card and processor, so instead of buying a new computer i just want to buy these 2 parts so that I can play. Besides Diablo 3, I want to be able to play some demanding games on my computer (left 4 dead, assassins creed, etc) and I don't want to upgrade the processor or video card for at least 2-3 years.
Here are my stats Processor: Intel (R) Pentium (R) Dual CPU 32220 @ 2.40 GHz 2.40 GHz Video Card: Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family (D3 will not support this 100%) OS: Windows Vista SP 2 Budget: as cheap as possible to run the game on high settings Mobo: GA-G31M-ES2L
I would prefer to buy it from memoryexpress as there's one where I live, but if you can find a cheaper deal on other websites (NCIX, newegg) then just let me know. Thanks!
To upgrade the processor by any reasonable amount, you also need a new motherboard and RAM. That's looking at $60-190 for the processor, depending on what you get, $50+ for the motherboard, and $20 for the DDR3 RAM (for 4GB, being cheap). With a new motherboard, you probably want a fresh OS install too.
To just run some games acceptably on low settings, all that takes it just an upgrade to a low-end discrete graphics card, maybe $50 or so, though preferably at least a Radeon HD 6570. In many games the old CPU would still be painful, but upgrading the graphics alone would make a huge difference. Some midrange and higher graphics cards may require a new power supply as well.
This is starting to sound like a new computer to me. Is that acceptable? Are you sure about the CPU upgrade?
I am considering the option of building a new computer in the future, If that's what it takes.. Do you think I could just upgrade one or two parts and I will be able to run the things I want to?
That depends on what your current build is. You might have to replace your motherboard if you want a new CPU, and won't have to if you just want a new GPU.

Well, fuck me. D: I just bought this card and am building my computer tomorrow. Bad part is, I'm wayyy too impatient to send it back and wait for a different card.
Following your multiple pieces of advice, i think i'm pretty much finished with selecting the components of my build. Just posting this for a last check: + Show Spoiler +
(yeah i forgot to take a cd/dvd burner, but i was too lazy to reload the image)
So here are my four last questions
-Is everything fitting alright together? -I'm somewhat worried with the mobo choice, given i see Z77 everywhere. I was though told that the B75Pro3 was one worthy choice if i werent going to OC or anything crazy -I don't find any GTX460 on the EU online stores. Either tell me where i can find one (save for one 200€ GPU i saw on alternate.nl i think), either tell me if my choice of getting a GTX550 is the right one, either convince me to spend an extra bit for the GTX560, given that im not really graphics oriented (running on med ftm, principally worried about getting everything as smooth as possible) -I'm planning on building this after my finals, so it will be on like july the first or something like that, will there be some new crazy stuff (i mean that will concern my build) out till then?
Thank you very much for your advice (i must recognize topachat.fr seems to get much cheaper prices), but i intentionally spent a bit more on the Mobo and Psu to get higher quality and i think it's worth it. And i think i'm definitely going for an Nvidia GPU.
So there's one question remaining: is the samsung SSD as reliable as the Crucial one?
[Edit: and why better? Did I choose something wrong?]
By the beggining of Heart of the swarm, or by my birthday (Aka, 30 october or from 15 dec to 30 dec) OR (very small chance) from 22 june -> 15 september (in this period)
Do you plan on overclocking?
Umm, prolly. I don't really plan on overclocking if I have a pc that can support what Psy did here:
I mean, support a 12 players FFA on medium - high at the frames PsY had.
Do you need an Operating System?
I'm on windows XP atm because I have a crappy proccesor, but I would love to have Windows 7.
Do you plan to add a second GPU for SLI or Crossfire?
If it would be possible, I would love to add a second GPU.
Where are you buying your parts from?
Most likely close to my city (Romania, Arad)
What I'm interested in keeping - My hard disk driveS. Yes, I have 2. I have a 1TB HDD and 1 that's ~140GB. I'm satisfied with them, both internal. If matters, I play my games on Windowed -> Fullscreen (Just like sc2's windowed fullscreen) or fullscreen. I don't play on windowed.
