There will be suing.
Up the ass.
Is Korea as strict as the US in this regard? I'd assume, an American company would basically go bankrupt if they kicked out a player who's later proven to be innocent. (assuming he is innocent, of course)
Define found innocent? There have been a few high profile cases in the US where the professional sports leagues tried to penalize players who later got it overturned. But none of them managed to sue for damages: Latrell Sprewell got his contract revoked by the league after choking his coach, but he got it back on appeal. Ryan Braun got caught doping, but after appeal had his suspension completely removed and got to keep his MVP. Neither of them sued for damages successfully.
Besides, there's nothing KeSPA could/should have done. Life being in custody is a pretty good excuse for forfeiting someone. After all, you have to show up at the studio to not get disqualified...
Okay, didn't know of these cases, but after I checked these cases, they seem quite a bit different. Especially Sprewell was still guilty, just the contract situation got resolved. Life on the other hand - an individual athlet - would have lost half a year of tournaments + quite a bit of his income because individual sports athlets probably gain most of their income through tournament winnings. (In team sports that's quite a bit different of course. And as far as I'm concerned, Sprewell and Braun still got their salary, didn't they? Beside the 10 days period of Latrell Sprewell's ban without payment (at least that's how it's stated on Wikipedia)
I'd just assume that there's some way to get some compensation for being held in custody if you turn out to be 'not guilty' in the eyes of the law.

Again, it was a matter of maybe a 1/10 of a second. He might just have thought he should see the creep at this point, checked the minimap, didn't see it and sent the overlord to the next base. I'm not saying it's out of question he didn't do it on purpose, I'm just saying such a minor mistake can definitely happen. We've seen WAY worse stuff happen in progames.
You're right they are different, but the difference is KeSPA is even more protected here because Life is in the custody of the police. There was nothing KeSPA did but follow the rules (show up at a certain time for your match or be disqualified).
Being wrongfully accused of a crime is pretty hard to prove, but it does happen. Whenever someone goes to jail and is later exonerated by future evidence they typically get a fat paycheck from the state (since the state is 99% likely to lose a wrongful imprisonment lawsuit). But that's actually being wrongfully convicted, being wrongfully accused? That would have to mean there was no evidence against Life for starters. Something I highly doubt at this point.
Well I wanna correct myself here, I should have rather said:
In the context of him being accused of match-fixing, and I strongly guess he wasn't imprisoned for weeks just and only because of this game, this is a 100% for me.
You realistically wont ever get anything more obvious than that.
If he had to lose this match, how would he plausibly have done that after first-scouting the non expansion?
I dont think that Life is that stupid that if he were intentionally matchfixing the game vs. Solar, he would turn away his overlord KNOWING FULL WELL that his game was recorded. What do you think would be his thought process? "Oh his base is here SHIT now I have to turn away my overlord to pretend like I didn't see it. Even though I did and the creep will always be shown on my vision and the observer's vision." Same thing I would argue for MKPs game. It's just wayy too obvious of a mistake to be done intentionally. If you looked at Yoda's fixed games, what he did was subtley miscontrol his army and lose engagements through poor management. I would guess most matchfixers would lose through poor execution than poor strategy. Thats just my opinion.
I don't get it. If I had won almost 500 grand at such a young age, there is no way I would even consider matchfixing. In most parts of the world people don't earn that kind of money over their entire lifetime. And Life did it before his 20th BD. It's just crazy, if it turns out to be true that he was matchfixing.
Is life actually still in police custody ?? does he sleep at his place?

Well it would not be surprising that he has been giving all the money to his parents and they manage all of it. Maybe he doesn't get to use more of it than any other young korean, but I have no idea really. Just to say there could be "motivation" still

As much as you might believe this you really just can't claim it unless you've been in the person's shoes. You might feel 100% you'd never do it, but your upbringing and current situation are what have brought you to this state of mind. Winning 500 grand at that young age can vastly change your point of view of things and how you think about life. Not saying Life is guilty or not, but just that no matter how much you think you'd act differently in a situation you can never really be sure since you wouldn't be the same person having gone through these different life events.

Especially because on Korean version of the vod, casters said that something like this cannot happen, and Life smiled when he saw Solar's zerglings that he couldn't defend, and at 3:00, Life had a weird face for a moment when the overlord turns after him seeing the creep.
Yeah... that looks pretty bad...
It does look pretty bad, but like someone else said it does not look as bad as MKP's game. I wouldn't use that one as a reference on what can still be legit gameplay though, he may have been cleared by MVP but at this point I wouldn't be surprised by anything.
I don't know if I agree with the laugh after seeing the lings as being necessarily incriminating though. Same reaction would be pretty natural if you just can't believe how stupidly the game went for you... The OP says the arrest is related to "match fixing in 2015" so this game wouldn't be part of it, but of course he could have been doing it already in 2014...
In regards to the laugh being incriminating, I am not so sure. I have laughed playing greedy as fuck as I got all inned. If I was as good as life I'd probably take it in stride.
