So how many people have actually playtested the map and are not just spouting first impressions and theory craft? If anything they need to throw the balance onto different maps before a reasonable conclusion can be made.

Well, I think that the big difference is that zerg won't be able to fungal warp prisms anymore and that high templars are now stronger against the infestor.
The rest doesn't really matter that much. Sentries are traditionally not present in the lategame, as are dark templars. Archons are not affected by fungals anymore, but should other units be affected by it, its movement will still remain quite disrupted due to its size. Well, I guess you cannot fungal archons to prevent them to jump into the toilet, however that wasn't really used to begin with.

You probably need to wait for people to figure out the new metagame before you can say if this patch will work or not. The new changes are very strong if the zerg player doesn't change his play.

I don't understand why Blizzard thinks the game is balanced as long as the win ratio is about even. You can't beat a colossus deathball without Brood lord infestor, you can't beat a strong mech army without brood lord infestor etc etc...

That's what's wrong with the game, your options are way too limited.

LoL. The normal soul train build is normally not countered with infestors as they aren't available if you don't tech rush to them on two base.
Beating a 3 hatch zerg with standard 2 base immortal sentry wp is no indicator of significance of the infestor nerf.

It's like terran saying I beat 10 Zergs in a row going 2 rax. So the raven buff works.

If you have however encountered fast infestor play and were able to kill it off because of the immune sentries/warp prism feel free to provide some replays as they might be a good base to this discussion.

first poll is basically showing t-p vs z ratios :D
i would like to see a faster but weaker(low damage) seeker missile with lower mana cost. and reduced max mana on ravens to prevent dealing too much aoe damage.

I know Dustin Browder thinks Zerg will solve the immortal/sentry all in, but he does make things more difficult,by making them immune to fungal, it was a great way to slow the protoss push because the units clump up.

Would be nice if it revealed the units and stopped them moving, but just didn't do any damage to psionic units

I haven't played the changes, I'm just a spectator of SC2, but I'm expecting these changes to have unintended consequences on DTs and Ghosts, which won't be detected/killed by fungal. Maybe make it so that fungal detects them but does not keep them in place?

I think this is very nice, I wouldn't mind warp prism not being psionic though. Seems a bit strong that warp prism couldn't be stopped with fungal.

I like the patch a lot and it makes all the sense in the world BUT i think it's a bit unfair that you can fungal medivacs but not warp prisms. Until this day i didn't even realize that warp prisms were psionic o.O doesn't even make sense to me. A possible solution: Maybe just change the unit-type and everything will be fine?

That wouldn't change anything at all. Fungal doesn't need to do damage to work with BL/infestor, it just needs to stun units and BLs will kill them. Maybe the other way around so it'd just do damage but didn't stun/slow.
