It seems that at the moment even though i can execute my builds well enough to get up to my late game army fairly quickly i still just get rolled by z/p, i attempt multi-pronged attacks etc and transition to ghost/viking accordingly most of the time. The main issue i'm having is most z and p know they can essentially roll terran if they protect from drop harrass at their expands and shut down ours. I've been a progamer stream viewer since i started playing and often watch players like kas/forgg/dragon/bomber and notice that although they will be 100x faster and more efficient with their builds, they don't seem to have the problem of just getting rolled by the late game armies of z and p. I played a tvp yesterday where i played my part to the degree where i should have just walked over to the p army and destroyed it, i scouted the collossus (and so produced appropriate vikings), my upgrades were 3:3 to his 2:1, and i even had 2 ghosts that landed some nice emps on the zealots, my army was maxed at 16 mins and i was annihilated without the use of storms or any kind of cutesy force field micro on the p part. I'm losing the will to live as i just don't know what else i can do to try and win... what makes it worse is im just a cruddy silver. is it normal to feel this way this low down in the ladder? I would really appreciate any tips or pointers on how to get up in the ladders and out of this max army wipe zone thanks
As you've probably heard 1000 times, always try to improve macro and build execution. However, to actually help this problem you should focus on practicing army control. In TvZ if you are going bio w/ tanks, always presplit your units if you have the chance. Keep bio and medivacs on one control group, tanks on another, and possibly vikings on a third one if you are up against brood lords. Always spread out tanks, and when facing brood lords, never clump up your vikings because one fungal is all it takes.
In TvP, you should use three control groups: MMM, ghosts, and vikings. Always scan ahead and try to snipe out the templar. If that is too difficult at this point, EMP will do. Have the vikings queued up to focus fire the colossus with shift clicking, stim the bio and A move with some basic splitting and concaving, and use the ghosts to EMP and snipe templar.
Also, in the late game for both of these matchups, nukes are a great addition. They are extremely easy to use. Just cloak a ghost and queue it up to move to a location and drop a nuke. It is so much harder to find it and pull away than it is to launch and this will cut into your opponents multitasking and micro heavily, especially if you launch multiple nukes simultaneously.
Hi, I have a mouse question. I have a naga razor. It is my second one. The first one got damaged through a lot of travel. Anyways it used to scratch the hell out of the hard top mousepad that I used to have, and it started to make the mouse jump around and stuff. I thought this was because the mousepad was a cheap peice of crap (rocketfish from best buy). So I ended up buying another naga razor, thinking my mousepad was scratched cause it was just crappy. I use the mouse on my desk without a mouse pad, and the new mouse has scratched my table all to hell. I have inspected the mouse and tried to figure out where a jagged peice or something may be sticking out and scratching but everything looks to be perfectly fine. I don't get it! Has anybody else had this problem and know how to fix it on the mouse? Other than getting a cloth mousepad obviously.
Interested in the 1.5.0 patch, but don't want to break a solid Starcraft II setup? You're in luck. Blizzard has a new installer for those willing to test out the 1.5.0 beta code (including the Arcade add-in) that does NOT install in the same folder as your default StarCraft II folder. Even better, those that have Starter Edition accounts are also included.
Known changes - 1. All forms of AA are supported (from what I can see, it may be on by default, as there are still no in-game settings for AA). 2. (Windows) The beta installer is a *streaming* installer (ala DIablo III) - that means you get to play quite a bit sooner than a traditional (either online or offline) install. 3. (Windows 8) Windows 8 Release Preview is supported without modification. (This is something I have personally tested.) 4. Arcade (all those minigames, such as Aiur Chef and StarJeweled) are going to be added - StarJeweled itself already has been.
How to get in on the fun: The beta client installers (for Windows and OS X) are on the same page as all your game client installs. This is NOT a "closed" beta (per no less than Dustin Browder) - discussion outside the 1.5.0-specific BattleNet/SC II forums is allowed - in fact, it is encouraged. (Naturally, due to posting rules for Starter Edition account holders, outside the Official forums is the only place we CAN discuss it.)
Initial impressions - they did some serious cleanup to a LOT - if not all - of the base code; performance overall is improved, including playback of the cutscenes. (I have NOT changed my GPU since the beta, so it's not the hardware. I had to change the settings manually to my preferred defaults (1280x720/High LOD), which is supposed to be a no-no for GPUs with 512MB of DDR3 such as mine, despite both the beta and GM being rather nicely playable at those same custom settings. I wonder how it performs on the 1GB GDDR5 GPUs of more recent vintage, as I am considering the HIS HD7770 iCooler as one of my next four upgrades (the others are Core i5-3570K, ASUS P8Z77-V, and 16GB of DDR3-1333 DRAM).

MLG booths can be scorching hot as far as I remember, but I thiiiiiiiink they may also be the most soundproof? Not entirely sure. I don't remember much from DH booths except that they were nice lol
They have to be THAT soundproof lol, MLG crowds are by far the loudest, the hype at MLG is always sick. <insert link to dustin browder reaction in MKP's win at Anaheim>
Hi guys, I'm new to this site, and have been playing starcraft for a couple of months. I recently posted this video on youtube, and was hoping that someone could look at the strategy and see what they think of it. I didn't make the strategy, I just use it.
I have been promoted to Platinum league this season.

Wow you could not be more wrong. Supply calldown: All in timing or "I suck at mechanics". Comparing inject to supply call down is like .. saying chronoboost is like supply call down.

I do agree that larva inject quantity and income across the board should be slashed down, though. Also revert to 1 gas por favor.
