Great buffs to Zerg, early game has always been incredibly volatile and prone to pressure, where some low-risk high-reward pressures against Zerg have been way too good. The added scouting ability and extra creep to make up for the bigger maps will be great. :-)

Having a queen start with 50 energy is overkill.

How about 50 energy for queens but increase the cost of transfuse to 75 energy or soemthing so that protoss air is still good.


I still think that the creep spread is gonna be way too good in ZvP, which will reduce the efficiency of all protoss 2 bases build since it will gives us more map vision an mobility (plus no proxy pylon) and that's not necessery in my opinion.

I feel like, giving the ability to a hatch to put down one creep tumor is a better option, it will help to prevent cheese like 3 pylon block and it will give a better creep spread, but without the snowball effect of creep spread when you gives 50 energy to Queen.

ive tested the OL buff in game. its great. on certain maps like close spawn metal, u wont even need to drone scout. u can freely look in his base with no fear really and ovies can escape much more easily against a marine/stalker depending on position. of course u can still deny ovie scouting, but for the firs few mins of the game it is awesome. great and much needed buff. like the other guy said, this speed buff feels very natural for zerg.

in game the speed buff is very if you main as zerg even tho the numerical value is very small. honestly its so nice to watch the overlord "zoom" across the minimap LOL.

one thing to note tho is that the patch says 0.586, but in game its rounded up to 0.59.




Someone should make a video on youtube that shows the difference.

i cant make a vid, but ill go make a game against a comp and tell the time it takes to get from point A to point B with old ovie and new ovie i guess. seems easy enough

The OL speed is ok, It can be very useful on many map, especially map with conflip scouting.
The Observer buff is ok imo. Protoss need better mid early game options. I mean, what so wrong with that? Is 10 seconds is that important as people trying to prove? Either way, Protoss would get Observer before Cloak. Banshee still keep Protoss force at home. I highly doubt if 10 seconds earlier can do that much damage to Banshee opening. It's 2 Probes kill at best

The Queen change is the only thing concerned me. I mean... seriously? What does it do anyways? It doesn't stop early cheese, all in (like 2 Rax, Cannon Rush...). It can't even stop Bunker Rush. Meanwhile any kind of opener in mid early game is too strong and unstoppable, which is not very fair, and make the game more BORING (I mean, seriously? in that case who dare to attack zerg?) And at last, it will make Zerg spread creep a lot faster (like 33-50%). They can also pull the Macro Hatch up a lot faster, being a lot more greedy while being safer (which basically mean the end of PvZ)

Ok just assume that Queen update won't badly ruin SC2 Balance... then what the point of that update? It does not make Zerg that much less vulnerable to early cheese. It just... makes Zerg have easier time in the early game.

This will probably make reactor Hellion before expansion utterly useless. You'll never be able to prevent creep spreading between all of their bases and across the map by the time one of your pushes actually arrives. Complete overkill balance change (as usual) and the ten-thousandth patch in a row where Terran is made weaker.

Hello , i have a suggestion regarding the overlord movement speed. wouldn't it be better that they just get more HP ? in the early game they get deeper into the base , but can't just move arround the map faster and position everywhere and even spread creep under your orbitals or creep highway. even it's not a lot , every second counts!

ok i just did a comparison. on antiga cross spawns (top left to bottom right) it took the new ovie about 3 mins to get to the base bottom base.

on the same positions it took the old ovie about 3 mins and 40 seconds to get to the same location.


at the top levels, im sure those 40 seconds will be a big deal.

Spreading creep in the late game is something that takes up alot of APM. If the Z players is covering the whole map in creep, you arent denying his creep well enough. These changes seems very nice, though i feel like something needs to be done about TvP late game.

I don't see any reason for queens to get a free creep tumor at spawn. Overlord change would be nice although the slowness gives the "zergy overlord aura" :p.

Very nice and usefull buff for Z.Overlord speed is great and Z needed.Now overlords crossing map much safer and scouting will be better.

Queen buff its too much i think.Starging with both creep and inject its just crazy.Hellions wont deny anything,because creep will grow much faster with 2 tumors,and not only this,Z will skip 3rd queen in TvZ so there are 3 more drones...
