Let me rephrase. I'm glad it will nerf cheese, like cannon rushes and proxy gates. That will be good for all matchups. But what I meant is using plyons + observers or plyons + air units to warp in units and harras. If zerg or terran lets a plyon go up next to their base at that point in the game, its their fault. I don't think those kinds of strategies should be completely removed, protoss completely lacks mobiltiy, so they rely on warp ins to reinforce armies. This nerf defeats the whole purpose of the warp in mechanic.

No it doesn't. Warp-in still works, it's still good as fuck. How do you go from warp-in doesnt work anymore for low ground-> high ground and high-ground -> low ground to warp-in sucks?

Good, puts a big damper on a lot of cheesy/abusive play that was boring to watch and too hard to hold. Remember the warp prism still exists, and you can still warp in from high to low ground to harass (for example, at the far left and right third base locations on Shakuras).

When was the last time we've seen this in Code S, exactly?

SRSLY ? blizzard/dolan plz... every change they make seems to steer the game to the point when it's fucking boring and can only be played 3x3 bases with 200/200 and constant reinforcements. while some lowskilled tards or BW-fags might like it, it actually SHOULD repulse a huge part of players, especially former wc3 players. the game is bad enough already, dont do that crap pls -.-

Why is dampering cheese necessary, and only with this one, specific build? Cheese is entirely valid if it's not broken, and pylons powering high ground was not broken. If they do it here, what's to stop them from systematically doing it to all cheese, and why is it even needed?
Warp prism also requires a robo. Theres no way the builds affected by this change can hit at a relevant time if they all require a robo.

if they dont like protoss why they just dont get it out of game?

Exactly!!! my thought. Why do they keep nerfing cheese ? The game must be diverse! Personally I love it when progamers make these cheesy decisions making Bo3/5/7 a lot more interesting to watch, rather than 5 long and boring games in row off 3 bases revolving around same unit compositions.

I wish this only affected warp-gate. I don't think anybody would call cannon-rushing overpowered, and the change kills off a whole class of cannon rushes ... a class used all the time in 4v4 games, and also really the only way to cannon a terran.
|
What is the point of this change? Aside from eliminating any high-to-low-ground play using Phoenixes, all this does is kill Cannon Rush (which inadvertently buffs Hatch first a bit) and Proxy Gating along with any PvP all-ins. I don't see why any of these things need to be nerfed, since none of them are a problem.

Good, cut variety... who needs enjoyable games. Disappointed, again
|
Good change, opens up a whole new depth of strategy with different units since this option is gone.

Welcome to the club, they pretty much nerfed all Terran early aggression

I agree too, we should also make the spawning pool require two overlords. Any change that gets rid of cheese and early aggression is great, right?
