If they do this, this is just another arbitrary, silly band-aid that doesn't address the core issue. Just move warp gates to council and increase their cool down or something else. Stop making things more complicated and less flexible than they need to be.

Them being "separate builds" is besides the point. Of course they're separate builds. One of them hits faster and doesn't use a warp prism. If that one is removed because it can't warp to the high-ground, that leaves the slower one that uses a warp prism. So instead of using the first build with high-ground warp-in, they're forced to use the second one (or they walk the DTs up the ramp, which is often less effective against Terran. Or they could stop going DTs entirely.).

Sorry for "wasting your time" by forcing you to go on a discussion board and discuss. It's really awful how you had no choice in the matter.


The only issue that DT's face as an opening is the fact that it's such a large resource and time investment to then Tech to Storm. You pretty much have to rely on Archons and Chargelots, that although good, get countered by alot of MMM. Really the Chargelots only becomes a really good unit in TvP once exchanges occur and Terran loses the critical mass of MM.

I wish Blizzard would add to the DT Tech and stop concentrating so much on Stargate.

I just love how the entire SC2 metagames relies on its parent company instead of letting the players evolve their own strategy and other invent a counter to it and so forth.

This is absolutely f!@#$%^ crazy. I have to say it, I'm just in awe. This really seems to be a completely unnecessary change to the basic, what would be considered, physics of the Protoss strategy and gameplay. There are numerous innovative builds which have been developed by players utilizing this very concept. Many require a certain amount of skill and control in order to execute, and are viable as any other build. Along with this there is the annoyance of not being able to power buildings from high ground etc. As I stated initially, it introduces many problems and annoyances, fundamentally damaging the current Protoss way of life, without there having been a reason for this nerf in the first place. Is there a specific reason for this change, that someone can cite? I genuinely want to know!

Thank you blizzard for making my decision to switch races and stop playing protoss a much easier decision

To all those saying pylon radius should be increased, you are wrong. It was originally too big. You have to think logically about where you put them, plan ahead etc. Obviously harder now.
