I mean, I hear people talking about the QQ and other bullshit, but I don't think I've seen many thoughtful posts in these 33 pages addressing the issue of the hoops zerg players now have to jump through to cancel out power units.

yeah technically I can neural Thors, Archons, and Collosi now but with a range of 7 I don't expect a single neural to work. Range 7? seriously? Stalkers range is 6 and they'll always be AT LEAST 1 range ahead of Collosi. Also, think about tanks. They have 13 range. Thors can be within 6 range of a siege tank and be completely safe from any neural. Not to mention the chances of neural parasiting siege tanks just got a whole lot worse b/c any terran player with competent tank placement won't have a problem with a measly 7 range. I rather it not neural massive units than have the range 7. Does blizzard not understand this is a channeling spell? What makes them think a 90 hp armored unit (and armored units are really just a classification that takes more dmg from certain units, never takes less) is going to live more than a second or two. If this goes live you won't see any pro zergs getting neural unless you see someone go mass thors. Thor/siege tank/hellion will still be getting a huge buff in 1.4 from this neural change though.

Haha yeah true, it is usually pretty common for the Protoss to have an obs or two with their army at that point though, right? Now if they get vortexed or something then yeah that sucks ![]()

Edit: Well also overwhelming force would kill them quickly too, but that's how it should be anyway of course.

Blizzard tested the change on the test realm to see what it means for the game because they actually didn't know if it would fix the Infestor or not. Do you want to complain about the fact that they use the ptr for testing?

somehow i feel thats Blizzards Starcraft development team are the same stupid people who are in their WoW development team, seeing as they suck horribly at fixing both. i honestly feel bad for future diablo 3 players because blizzards trend of being dumb will most likely continue

Maybe people will finally start spreading units and focusing Infestors... You know, like they should have months ago before they started qqing for nerfs.

I have no doubt we would still have KA, NP wouldn't work vs massive, and roaches would have 3 range if that were the case. I hate to say it, but I agree with this. Like stated before the infestor fills too many roles, it makes PvZ an ugly situation for Protoss, throw in some brood lords and its a very grim outcome. Edit: With that being said, np was not really the problem to begin with, fg and infested Terran were more of the issue, so I don't know what the point of even messing with np was. I do understand it makes it harder to control colossus and a mothership, so perhaps that was the issue?

Infested terran being spammed and FG's damage (though that is being addressed) seem to be bigger problems. Really I just want infestors to get nerfed in terms of damage and just have hydras and ultras be buffed. They need to nerf it to like 20 damage for FG on light and like 40 for armored. The point of FG is to hold them in place so they can't blink/micro, not to straight up kill units. 25 marines for 2 fungals is insane, and is very game breaking. It would be the same as all protoss units having 90% of their health being shields so EMP can literally melt protosses entire army with 2-3 EMPs.

You can't spread and focus at the same time... and you especially can't against 10 infestors who chain FG and NP your shit when you're forced to engage.

Terran will keep dominating ladder and tournaments Zerg will take a larger hit compared to protoss in the beginning, but will recover within a month Protoss will do better vs zerg initially, but will settle back down to a really bad W/L ratio (not as far down, but similar) People will blame the low win rates of Z and P on the fact that the players are not used to the changes to their units. This will be minorly responsible, but imbalance will be the prime factor Warp prisms will only be used for zealot drops. Rarely will these drops deal more than $400-600 damage) Immortals will be tested more but concluded that colosus is still the better option. Protoss 1-1-1 will be explored to counter the Terran 1-1-1. Ultralisks will see a lot more use as they are a much stronger tech switch after a 200/200 battle Ultralisks will still need their pathing fixed This will hopefully lead into more discussion about how ultralisks and archons should have movement priority High templars (with feedback) will be more dominant vs infestor play Zerg will explore infestor/ultra/ling as a way to immobilize and destroy protoss armies.

Infestors are still gonna be sitting behind the rest of the Zerg army, and they're still out of most units' range.
