Sigh, no cool additions to the mappool. I was so looking foward to see more gsl maps like Crevasse added.. Blizz should give players more flexibility in choosing maps. just add some gsl maps and allow to upvote as well.. that should satisfy all the leagues.. 1 base rushes for bronze and Blizz (they seem to like rushmaps and rockmaps), bigger cooler maps for the higher leagues..

On map 1, where do they want you to take a third? I like the maps generally, but if this is the way it stands, I can't see this map being any better than Jungle Basin for taking a third. Meh.

I think taking the third as the counter-clockwise easy if you just kill the HY rocks. For the clockwise player though, its much harder. I'm more concerned with Test map #2 taking the natural...

a 2 base zerg can't really do much (besides semi-all ins), that's why people are desperate for an easy to take third.

Since it seems to be general consensus, is there some discussion somewhere that I can read as to why a difficult to take third is bad for the game? In my games, this often makes for very tense situations and makes it quite a risk to take, making the proper time to take a third not immediately obvious and more dependent on the flow of the game.

Someone a couple of post above that also argued that it's easier for Z to take a distant base which I somewhat agree with since Z has a lot of map control.

First map looks alright for each race, however that is a massive overuse of destructible rocks, and center looks easy for Terran to hold. Kerrigan's Wrath looks good, except Golds are easy for Terran to kill. Shifted Sky is a total Terran map, wayyyyy too abusive with any amount of Siege Tanks. The last map looks alright, theres only 1 spot per main that tanks can fit in to siege the mineral line.

Don't care too much about the 2v2 and such.
