Ramsdale had the game of his life. Especially from minute 45 to 70 Leicester were utterly dominant but couldn't get past him. Tielemans was putting in perfect crosses, hitting unmarked forwards who just missed or had their shots saved. You guys did look very dangerous on the counter. When Odegaard came on you took control and had most of the ball. Vardy was nullified throughout. There weren't really any dumb mistakes. You guys absorbed an enormous amount of pressure and came through. I do wonder if the result would have been the same if Leno had played though. Leicester had enough chances to score 4 or 5.

You're going to struggle fitting Sancho, Rashford, Greenwood, Martial and Pogba into that. The City match is intereting. It feels to me like the derby has been living it's own life on the recent years and ignored any notion expected power levels and such. I will freeze Martial and Pogba out. There is no point trying to fit in players who will leave the club soon. Lingaard should also be sold imo. Hes a good player but there is already too many people fighting for places.

tottenham fans are deluded to think that they are the kind of club that have the luxury of sacking managers based on the brand of football. levy is even more deluded to think that tottenham is a top 4 contender. nuno has currently got tottenham exactly where they are supposed to be

and yes the poch sacking is probably one of the worst decisions in football history. levy has his head over his ass thinking his team is top shit now, and the failure of the manager search in the off-season displays that.

I think at that point it felt like somewhat of an understandable move. A pretty rough sacking definitely, but it also seemed like he had pushed his version of Spurs to the limit with the UCL 2nd place and it was going to be downhill from there. According to Wikipedia, they were 14th in the league and hadn't won in last 5 in the mid November when he was sacked. Mourinho was available, interested and named the manager the next day. I liked Poch's Spurs a lot and would've loved to see him continue, but at given moment the sack felt like something that was likely coming sooner or later anyway. Who knows if he could have turned it around somehow, but I don't think it was necessarily completely unreasonable move at that point.
