So so proud of these kids. Beating all these big football countries with unlimited talent is really something.
Edit: Please football gods turn this into a world cup win in a few years. Or at least a place in the group stages lol
Did Milos Veljkovic impress at all in the tournament? Also congrats.
He did really well seeing as how he barely played last season in Carlton. Very mature full-back for his age, calm on the ball under pressure. I think all he needs are minutes in a big league and he can become a world class defender.

Well before 2014, they havent qualified for anything in at least a decade. And if EURO wasnt 24 teams now, they would be in trouble again. Here's the trick question: Would you want to be the new greece of 2004-2014, almost always qualifying, and making the knockout stages several times, yet no one knows why?

Thanks beater. Our first under-20 WC win, though Yugoslavia made it to the finals in 87'. Hell, its the first time we've played in the under 20 WC since 1987 :D
This is basically the team that won the under-19 Euro's in 2013 btw. They are going to be hyped into oblivion from now on over here.
The 87 team was Yugoslavia and it was played in Chile
The manager was Mirko Jozic, who end up staying here on my team (Colo Colo) and won the only Copa Libertadores that any chilean team has won

Why do you want to break my heart ?
But whatever nobody cares about the Intercontinental Cup or the World Club tournament either way

Over here the Intercontinental Cup win is ranked higher than the European Cup Red Star won before that. Kinda like how South Americans hype it up whenever they beat a giant team from Europe. People liked the way World Champions sounded when politically we were in a 'us against the world' situation.
When I lived in Australia I played for a local club run by Chileans, my dad would bring up Colo Colo losing every time he talked with someone from the club. Fun times.
Well, if your team doesn't win international titles, club "world" tropies can seem important. For example, in Spain, Atletico de Madrid fans hyped a lot the intercontinental cup they won in the 70s (Although they participated because after loosing Europe Cup final against Bayern, Bayern refused to travel to South America).

He might get in big trouble for it as referee assualt and miss the Gold Cup (Concacaf's tournament).
Haha go Timbers!
(Is that seriously where Seattle plays? Looks like a High School football field....)
UHHH Seattle plays here
Obviously sounders game arent even close to Seahawks games unless its a big occasion. It is also the best Stadium Ive been to in the US.
So a stadium with even poorer design than a high school field :p
Century Link is a fantastic football stadium...
The amenities may be fine but the trend of building soundtraps for American football stadiums is utterly ridiculous, which is what I war referring to. They achieved their design goal in that regard, but it's a shit goal

Well purely because of statistics, it's highly likely that the same should apply to 50% of all countries.
Actually no. That's why I wrote way more successful.
The men's team is ranked 79th by FIFA and never attended a world cup. For comparison the US team is ranked 27th and attended lots of world cups, so the difference is not as pronounced.
Nice (second) bicycle attempt by Ricardo Clark off the crossbar tonight! Just noticed MLS isn't listed on front page of this thread. Sorry if this is in the wrong spot (or if no one cares about MLS stuff lol).

pretty sure they qualified for the 2002 world cup due to korea/japan being automatically seeded giving them a chance to qualify
Monaco just sold Kondogbia to Inter for 40 MILLIONS. What the fuck... Third biggest transfer in Inter history, only behind Christian Vieri and Hernan Crespo. More expensive than Ibra and Ronaldo. I'm speechless.
